I do appreciate the honesty about the length of the DLC. I still will most likely buy the DLC, but I would ask for longer DLC in the future.
Only way they're going to make longer DLC is if people refuse to pay a premium price for little content.
If we don't buy this DLC, then wouldn't they lose money that could be put toward new DLC, and they already said all the DLC is gonna vary in size and price, some smaller then 5$, some more then 5$
Sorry, just not following the logic here....

Right, because it would be wrong for game companies to try to recover some of their losses from the steadily declining game prices (in real dollars) over the past 20 years.MadMaligor wrote...
New DLC continuing at these price levels for the content, is just plain ripping people off.
Games today cost a third what they used to (adjusted for inflation). And yet somehow games weren't widely viewed as a ripoff when I was paying $160 (2008 dollars) for them in 1984.

They have armor for horses, so its not out of the question that they could smith some for a mabari.

Yes, I know. My logic is obviously off. I mean, they made no money at all selling us the game, and they have to pay for the top notch customer service team, and of course all the bug fixes they've put out, so the only way they could afford to make worthwhile DLC is if we buy short, overpriced DLC first.
Thanks so much for pointing that out to me.

If they don't make a "Return of the Griffons" DLC...I will be sad.
As will I. I mean if the dragons returned, why not griffons?
Also, I pity Bioware. A massive blizzard's moving through the province. Nothing better than getting a foot of snow when you're trying to pump out a DLC for the insanely impatient fanbase. Speaking of which, I'm officially snowed in.

If so, then how is this going to work exactly? For those who died, are there going to be some awesome necro spells being cast?

if i understood correctly when you get back at camp after defeating the final boss that is actually before the battle right? why do they then close all non dlc travel points at that point?

because the horde is not just attacking Denerium? if you noticed when the darkspawn spread areas get closed off just before the final battle the darkspawn have spread everywhere.

- Few people will buy the DLCs.
- The overall game suffers.
What does that mean? It means you have to keep the quality and price of the content in tune with what was offered initially. I'll be honest here and say this: if I didn't like Bioware games, if they didn't turn out to be so good initially, you would see a torrent on my hard drive and an uninstalled game within 2 weeks, but I trust you guys to provide good content at a good cost and I actively support the type of content that you have currently provided -- and therefore I have paid for it (like you have often done in the past) and I hope that you do not breach this "unspoken" contract by only providing bits and pieces of adventure that cannot immerse you long enough to be called a campaign.

They can sell the bear for 1 cent for every drop. I bet you won't accept the price either. Heck I throw out pennies.Klarum wrote...
5$ = one beer at the bar, are people seriously complaining on the price for one extra hour of content? Get your priorities straight. Buy the beer, the game or both but dont troll please.
Let say a bottle of bear is 1000 drops, that means you just paid $10 for that bottle - 1 drop at a time. That is how DLC makes money. If you think $5 for an hour of game play is acceptable then you wouldn't mind paying $300 for Dragon Age: Origins right? Since it is average 60 hour game play.
That being said, I am still getting the DLC because I waste a lot more than $5 on trivial things. That doesn't mean it is not a rip off.
Heck i can buy a 6 pack of bud ice for like 9 dollars thats a couple of hours that lead to a happy place!
