Hey remember when this thread was about BioWare actually answering our questions?

What happened to that?

^ Thats more than likely true. Sad, but true.

And no release date as of yet? I think we are getting this sometime in January at this rate.

I don't believe so. It sounds very close to one origin character's statement about his heritage but it says the Bannorn. Read this statement and decided to have a look, so didn't get that far into it. Hopefully there is some manner of tie-in however. Would make for an interesting situation.

Nope it definately says Bann Loren and the Return to Ostagar DLC info page says this:

"To find the survivor play through Dragon Age: Origins until after the
village of Lothering and Journey to Bann Loren's Lands along the
Bannorn's northwest border."

Your mother (in the human noble origin) says this: "Perhaps your hound left something I can feed our guests. Darling, you remember Lady Landra? Bann Loren's wife?"

Regardless, I'm so psyched for the expansion! (b^_^)b

I dont care what it costs I just want more awesome content! Best game Ive played since KOTOR and Mass Effect. I love being so immersed in the rich story! Please keep the content coming!! Youve created a world with endless possibilities. Ever time I read a codex or talk to someone in game I think "Wow! that would make a great expansion!" So much room to move I hope it gets taken advantage of.

So many possibilities so much room to grow!  Please keep the content flowing!  Orlais, the quanari, Antiva, the deep roads. All the other Bann's lands.  The possibilites for growth are endless.  I hope to see lots of DLC and a sequel!

Will there be future content available for less than $5? Yes and there will be future content available for more than $5 as well.

The specific release dates are still in flux and are dependent on final testing and certification. Current projections are for sometime in December.

As for the success of the Neverwinter Nights premium module program, it's something I'm very proud of. It proved that it could be done and gave us a lot of experience in doing this kind of thing. Was it a financial success? Well, if you juggle the math just right and squint your eyes a bit, you can make the argument that it hit the break-even point. =o) To be clear, however, that program's lack of profitability had very little to do with the size or scope of the content. The key determining factor was that we only launched it once the game was already three years old. By having PRC available at time of Dragon Age: Origin's launch and by following up in a timely fashion with a wide variety of content at different price points, we hope to be a lot more successful this time around. We're not profitable yet as we have a large infrastructure investment to recoup first (trust me, building a suitable framework for PRC doesn't come cheap), but I think we're on track.

Well, thanks for reading and for being so patient with me, everyone. This thread's getting a little long in the tooth and newcomers are no longer reading it from the start, so I think this will be my final post here. Tomorrow, I'll be back at work on some other upcoming content but I'll see if I can poke in on the forums every now and then to help out.

Regardless, thanks for playing Dragon Age and I look forward to seeing your impressions of Return to Ostagar when it's finally released. Please feel free to copy and paste my answers into other threads as similar questions come up between now and the module's release.

For Ferelden,
Rob

good to see dedication to the fans by quitting on page 15... /end sarcasm

Will Return to Ostagar come with seperate sound settings for "Ambient Sound" and "Sound Effects"

Having only one for "Sound Effects" makes it impossible to play the game and enjoy both the ambient sounds and not having your eardrums blown apart by the combat sounds.

If you turn down the Sound Effects where the combat no longer blows your ear drums apart, you will no longer be able to enjoy the beautiful ambient/environment sound effects.

Almost every other game out there offers it in their options.

PLEASE seperate Ambience and Sound Effects in the audio options.  Then I'll instantly buy this add on to spare my sensitive hearing from the pain of the overly loud combat fighting.

Didn't see that in the subtitles when I checked. Though didn't bother picking up the dog first.

Warden'sPeak was rather short unless you chose a certain path. I would hope that there is more combat involved in the next dlc.

Did you guys really mean to call it an Expansion in the mass email you just sent out? I guess it does expand the game a little bit. But I thought you where going to differentiate between Add-ons and full expansions.

I think it is worth it even for just a hour of play. I am sure I cant stretch that 1 hour into 3-4 hours of play. I like to stop and look at the flowers.

If it's only an hour, I will wait for a bundle deal of DLC before spening $5 on something like this,,

My biggest problem, that no one has noticed besides me apparently, is that this is the 3rd DLC released and the game has only been out a month... If they keep this up we'll eventually be paying full game price for all the DLC and with the average of an hour per $6 that will only be 10 more hours for the price of one whole game. I love Dragon Age and I found both the DLCs to be exciting experiences, but not for the price. It almost seems like even our normal RPGs are becoming pay to play. I would rather them wait and make a DLC bundle with 10+ hours worth of content and release it for $6. That would be a much better deal. I am an avid Bioware fan, but the cost of DLC to the amount of content is severly out of balance compared to the price of a game to content. That's my 2 cents.

Well i think that Bioware read our posts, and they are gone make this dlc little longer and better.
