I am just heading back for revenge. The more darkspawn skulls I cave in, the better. If I can recover the bodies of either man for a proper burial/whatever, then all the better.

You are the first one to come out and say you are dissatisfied with DLC as a content delivery system.
Look around the internet about DLC at non-corporate affiliated gaming sites (i.e. Not just inside brainless rabid bioware fanboi forums like this). You will find that out there it is definitely the majority that hates this garbage.
Instead of "trying to be civil" you just come off as an angry douchebag.
By using that word, so do you.

For those of you that are very upset...you would have never survived the arcades I used to go to back in the day. Used to bus my mom's tables for her tips just to go there with some quarters...but enough of showing my age...

Regardless, I have no confidence that the new DLC will work, or that BioWare will offer support if it doesn't.

I would love to buy the DLC, but there is no way I can justify it. The Stone Prisoner DLC has been broken for me since day one, with me being unable to see the village on the map. That wouldn't be such a big deal if EA and BioWare seemed to care, but they won't respond to my emails, one of which has been unanswered for 12 days now. They could at least tell that they are working on it, that would be better than being ignored.

You don't see the city at first, only the merchant. I'm sure there's a way it can be fixed if that is not the problem.

For those who have completed the game, you will be able to return to Ostagar from your Epilogue Save.
Ah. good. Bioware has learned from ME1 in regards to DLC. I boycotted the last DLC for ME1 for that reason alone. Good to know I'll be able to keep on playing my saved characters. Even if the DLC is short, if I can play it with my completed saved characters then I'll likely give it a go.

Someone in marketing must have prematurely hit the "send" option on the newsletter. Happened while I was working at JibJab a couple times.
I'll second that and like an earlier poster commented, buying coffee these days is around 5$ and it lasts way less then an hour!

It is within Biowares business sense to charge for a product or add-on (to which I might add is still pretty much cheaper than some add-ons I've purchased on Microsoft Live). At this moment in time, lots of people love Dragon Ages and the demand for new playable content is high so it makes sense to both appeal to the fans with content and to charge for it. No doubt at a later stage there will all the add-ons available for retail purchase where you can experience the whole lot for a more modest price. But if your keen, excited and eagre for more Dragon Age then $5 or whatever isn't a lot to ask for.

People will have to make their own decisions about whether or not the price is right for them. I was involved in the pricing decision and this is the price I recommended and felt was appropriate for the content and the amount of effort required to create it. But yes, we understand that $5 can be a lot for some people to pay.
From my perspective at least, I'd rather wait and pay $15 or even $30 for a full expansion with 40 hours or more game play to be expected. This feels like you guys are nickel and diming us. No offense to the Devs, but an hour extended game time? that really blows lol.

I am however extremely irritated to receive a newletter email about the DLC when not only is it not even out but it has no set release date yet. The comments in the email very much read as if it is out and ready to be downloaded.
Hire a better editor and learn a lesson, you do not announce something in an email until at the very least you have a release date set. For mini-updates the people who care are reading your website and already know, I do not need poorly thought out email spam.
