Dear Rob,
I wish to ask a question that isn't really specific to Return to Ostagar, but to all DLCs in general.
Why is the gameplay duration so low (1 hour) for it's price ($5)?
I think DLCs are a great way to extend a game's lifespan. It gives content to people who are hungry for more. I look forward to buying them because Dragon Age has great story, graphics, voice acting, etc.
You created a great stand-alone game that costed $50, and the main story lasts about 100 hours if you do all side quests, read the codex, listen to voice overs, etc. So $1 gives you roughly 2 hours. But a $5 DLC only lasts 1 hour? Shouldn't it last roughly 10 hours if fully played?
You have all the resources to create a quality game, giving people 100 hours for the standalone game. The most difficult part of the game development is already done. To me, it was a huge success. But why do you then skimp on the easy part that is DLCs? Is it so hard to create a DLC that gives you value for your money?
