Assuming it will likely not be released this Tuesday (Or I think we would have received confirmation by now....)
They did say in the holiday season
As far as I'm concerned after January 2nd is no longer the holiday season
So if this week is a no that only leaves Tuesday the 22nd or 29th left to put it out w/o breaking their vague release date promise
I WANT THE DLC NAO!

Axis Swordarm wrote... A bunch of good stuff
I agree Axis. I'm astounded at this thread. Not only the sheer volume of vitriol, which is normally reserved for OS fights when people break out the "M$ is eevils" trolling, but also at the absolute incapacity for some of the posters to communicate. Nouns, verbs, adjectives and a spellchecker...English is not your enemy, despite the rather archaic grammatical rules. That said: using the term "sheeple" just makes you sound like a tool. A tool from the early 90s.
From my perspective, I think immerse media that comes in at a price point lower than $5.00 an hour is a bargain. It's especially a bargain given the sheer volume of work and talent that has gone into this product. The writing in this game is astounding. The design is brilliant. The voice talent is incredible. The decision trees were well thought out, the user interface was well designed, the ethnography and research behind the storyline is beautiful.
My only real question about the new DLC is when I can get my hands on it. Is it worth the $5.00 to me? No question. What I don't understand is all the "this sux, we wants our contents for free! Capitalism suxors!" nonsense. If you don't want to buy new content, cool...don't buy new content. It's not like Bioware shows up and threatens your grandma if you don't buy DLC. Nobody is holding your kitten at gunpoint. Don't think it's worth it? Groovy. Don't get it.
And I think anyone who has been around the gaming universe for any period of time realizes that EA has done some really bad things in the past. But unfortunately, games need publishers, and sometimes evil is the only game in town. I almost didn't buy the game *because* of the EA affiliation, and I waited until testers de-compiled and proved that there wasn't another EA rootkit in the code. To be fair, I think EA learned from the last debacle and realized that their draconian methodologies were losing more honest customer money than they were losing through piracy. This doesn't mean I've forgiven them, mind you.
But EA is not Bioware. The game is a Bioware baby. And it was a brilliantly conceived, carried and delivered baby. The people who created it deserve to be rewarded. To complain about DLC because there is the *possibility* that a coder or a writer or a creator might actually make a middle class income or *gasp* enough to buy a sports car, is absurd.
To stand around posing like a French revolutionary shouting "ja'cuse!", as though the devs were Aristos denying you a crust of bread is ridiculous.
Perfectly said, Couldn't have done it better, thus your quote! Thank you for putting things in perspective and bringing out the trolls and those under age who don't have a clue, other than to flame! Last time I checked I believe it was called video rearing, which is a darn shame!

Why would I buy DLC for a vanilla game that isn't even fully running right yet? :\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

Yes, because everybody who thinks Warden's Keep was a rip off and would like to see Bioware do better is a clueless anti-capitalist socialist flaming troll.Gunny5821 wrote...

I finished the game too last night and a good 85 hours worth of play. Great game. Doesn't excuse some of the problems occuring and not being fixed..especially the textures problem which should have been easily solved.

I'm with you..it's quite a cop-out to call people troll as a result of not being able to actually provide a valid response to a problem or opinion.
I also agree that Warden's Keep was sorta a rip off. Yeah it was entertaining and not a bad little side story..but it wasn't as promised and the fact that you can't even change party members at Warden's Keep and you can't even re-enter the Keep...ruins the whole experience for me.

Bioware is still ahead of the pack when it comes to story-telling. However, graphics and gameplay seem to be falling behind and perhaps a bit outdated. They should have overhauled the game engine.

In addition, by having Duncan survive, the leadership for the team would logically fall to him, rather than the player's character, as I don't honestly see him waiting somewhere for you to do your thing. Even if he were severely wounded, it would still require a lot of changes to the existing story, particularly the Landsmeet and Alistair's reactions.
