Hi everyone. Sorry for not popping in and providing another update sooner. Based on some of the feedback in this thread, we made the decision to revisit Return to Ostagar and make some small improvements, including the addition of a new Ostagar-specific achievement/trophy and a reduction in the price. This has required a patch/title update and some additional testing and certification. This has pushed our dates back and I can confirm that the PS3 version will not arrive until the New Year. For PC and X360, we're still working hard to get it out in time for Christmas but we're not out of the woods quite yet. We'll put out another press release once we're 100% confident of the dates.

Thanks for your patience and I hope you enjoy the adventure once it's finally available.

For Ferelden!
Rob

If you want to gain some time, you should not make the game in anther language than english and just do some decent subtiles in translated languages as a first ralase. Or just make a survey and tell people what features you can put in the DLC if you have more time by taking care less about the localizatin of the DLC.

lol true. Trophies and achievement really mean very little unless it grant you some sort of bonus to your over stats for your works. I want some trophies for my war dog, like better war pain arts.

I'd happily pay $50 for this add-on content if it ment that I wouldnt need to read post after post of people complaining.

Let me make something clear. Topic is called "questions about Ostagar". I don't want to read through 70 odd pages of tight fisted unappreciative rants at how the price tag is unjustifiable and that you demand more, more more.

Nor do I want to hear your carefully constructed argument. I just want to know when this content will be released so that I can enjoy it like a normal person. Gain some perspective.

This is also not a cue for you to reply to my post. As I do not care, as inevitably your post will be about justifying your right to complain. Listen closely... Nobody cares.

I would have preferred to pay 5€ for more content, than 4€ for the current content + achievement. Really, who cares that much about achievements except those achievement/trophy hunters?

But anyway, I'll buy it with the lowered price tag.

I had no problems with the $5 price they was asking. I was hoping to be playing it very soon. Devs let me put it like this. I love DLC especially DLC that expands RPG's in story, new classes, new charas, new spells/skills, higher levels and so forth.

I said it before and i'll say it again. As long as this game keeps holding my interest with great DLC i will buy every single one you put out. For now you have my 2 years worth of DLC money as long as i see great content in the DLC.

Hopefully very soon we will see some more info on more DLC that you plan to release.

Dragon's Peak is probably going to be a cool DLC whenever that comes out. May it be in the far or near future.

I believe all the dlc is meant to take place prior to going to Dennerhim before the final battle so anything having to do with Morrigan's demi-god child will probably be revealed in a sequel and not in any expansion or dlc for this game. I for one don't mind paying a few bucks here and there for dlc/ or a good bit for an expansion as long as it adds to the re-play and to the story. I would have gladly paid for Shale add on as she is one of my favorite tanks.

Add more banter/romance/story line and I'll pay whatever. Also more human/elf content would be appreciated, personally I'm not fond of 'freak' companions like golems, dogs and ugh Sten. But a dlc with more fights isn't worth 2 cents to me, there's already too much of it in the OC imo and doesn't add much to replay value. The more the story differs per replay based on your class/origin/companions/choices the more likely I'm going to buy the game/DLC. Making the dlc cheaper isn't really that much a big deal for me still it's appreciated nonetheless.

ps. Please consider making a more immersive (and sensible) evil plotline for the game in a future DLC or expansion.

I hadn't read this thread from the beginning and had totally forgotten that yes you guys did provide hours and hours of additional gameplay on Baldur's Gate 1 & 2's expansion packs as well as Neverwinter Nights and their two expansion packs and modules. I owned those games, how could I forget??? Bioware came up with some awesome products.

So yeah, I'm sure with time you guys will release quality content in all sorts of size, be it DLC and/or Expansion Packs. I think myself like so many are enthusiasts of this game and eagerly anticipate the release of the next content even after Return of Ostagar. I've also become addicted to trophies as well.

And this is why BioWare is the heart of gaming. And why Bobby Kotick will incite a riot if he ever goes near a large group of gamers. BioWare= the good of humanity. Kotick= the worst of humanity.

Not that I wasn't going to buy the DLC from the first announcement anyhow.

I'll buy this DLC only if I can buy exactly 320 points. Will 320 points be available option to buy points?

And here i already bought $5 worth of points. Ah well. I really have a hard time believing people get so bent out of shape about the actual $5 cost verse the estimated 1 hour length of this DLC.

You can play RtO from an epilogue save. So, you can use  any of your finished game characters from an earlier save.
