Warden's keep wasn't a scam, I purchased my rogue stuff there and even got starfang, its not so bad, I also got the diabolist exclusive skills,  where's the screwing going on here? And the boss fight there was so good. Man you are one serious misinformed Fereldan.

Is it out now? Hehehe. LOL

It sounds like you're basically saying you like Warden's Keep for the items and skills.  If so, just use the ToolSet and make yourself some items.  Or just download any of the (many) user-made ones for new items and skills... no work at all on your part!

The only part that saves your post is your comment about the boss fight, which I actually agree with.  There were 1 or 2 interesting fights.  The plot was "meh" in my opinion, and the DLC has a sense of being rushed (Avernus, not being able to go back inside, etc...).  It just wasn't enough content.

So you can understand why people are a little upset when Bioware basically says "we're about to give you more items but only about an hour worth of plot".

No offence, but it's much easier said than done. Have you touched the toolset? It's very difficult to navigate around and you really have to know what you are doing if you don't want something to explode.

I did like Warden's Keep and I thought it was worth 7 bucks. It was semi short, but it was fun and I found the characters pretty interesting.

Think about this as well its all good for pc users with the tool set but the platforms like ps3 and 360 aren't able to use it. The items from it were aswome. besides like shale and the Blood dragon armor is cool enough. having some extra fun and lvling areas help out alot. I can't complain on any of this. The game rocks and looking forward to playing return to ostagar.

For me the issue is clear, I've beaten Dragon Age 4 times... I'm pretty sure I've done everything I want to do in the game.

If you want me to pay for DLC content its going to have to be something that's going to make me want to come back to this game I've already conquered... And put away.

1 hour of game play... likely a lot less for any of my saves... since their all pretty maxed out...

I'm just not that interested... Give me... Something substantial... Something to bring me back to the game...

Sticking with the food analogies...

Its like your offering a starter... After the 4 course meal... Gimme dessert plx (and we've already had 2 starters with wardens keep and stone prisoner)

Maybe those Waffles aren't such a bad idea after all.

An Expansion like Mask of the Betrayer (NWN2) would be good IMO...

That expansion was done extremely well and was in many ways much much better than the original plot.

Still for i assume Bioware will be making expansions (they did for NWN and did quite a few), and these DLCs will just be appetizers

exactly - it is almost certain from feedback from Bioware staff on this forum that different sizes of DLC are in the works. Obviously larger expansions take longer to release and if it was released 1 month after launch, people will obviously say that they were screwed out of already read content.

I think it is a smart move to offer different size/price point for DLC since not everyone who gets DA:O is going to pay an extra $30-40 for an expansion fans are looking for.

After reading a lot of the other feedback from Bioware staff regarding other topics, my hopes were demolished for easy updates of new types of gear and armor models. Hope to see RTO soon to see more of the story.

Question: will we ever get to play Duncan before and after he look up toward the beacon ? : D

This way we get to know his side of the story and allot of players wanted to know what really happen to Duncan after the battle at Ostagar.

What a lot of you are complaining about seems to be "Ive finished the game, the DLC isn't going to bring me back". DLC isn't a fully fleshed out EXP pack. Its added content to enrich and exstend the story, allowing more to be done in the space and time of the normal story itself.

Though, id like to say this to "Whodafooka". I honestly hope that on a cold day, you look up at the sky and are run over by 9 monster trucks, 2 SUV's and a bloody police car. That kind of comment isn't good, nor is it what PC gamers are really like. The stupid few that decided that ripping off people who work hard to make a game don't make up a lot of people who PAY for there games and want to pay people to make more DLC.

Il be paying. :) Warden's Keep was short, yes but this hopefully will be longer for what we will get. ^_^. And for $4, its not a lot. :)(Though, how much is that in points? :D hehe)

I personally think that the DLC is too short, honestly I was hoping for something that would take a few hours longer to complete. Thats just because I love the game so much though, I actually thought the previous DLCs fit quite nicely in with the rest of the game and I'm glad I got them so I'm sure I'll be downloading this one as well.

hmmm

quote from a user " Just download the DLC torrent of the "expansion" you want.  I've +++ the ga....."

this is exactly whats going to lead to fewer and less content included DLC's friend

yes i know free is nice , but your paying for the internent connection , you have a 2000$ computer so no need to justify saying you'r poor.... poor people unfortunately cant play games...

i mean all the Bioware crew designers plotmakers musicmakers programmers , just to create an area with all you see on screen it takes time.... they could use this time in any other job e.g as  office clerks or a warehouse worker
or a cab driver and get paid for the time

instead they spend their time creating something beautifull that most of us have enjoyed , i think that maybe they deserve what they are paid and even more , 4$ for a DLC heh that half a pack of smokes for most of you

i mean loving what you do and creating is one thing having to pay rent bills morgages and god knows what else is another and soon discovering that spending your time in some other workplace earns you this makes you reconsider....the main reason most game designers have changed profession...

and since in most cases the company logistics incomes/expenditure office runs what will go into project and what not , and not the designers itself , if everybody downloads DLC's from some crackgroup this will just result in lesser or nomore DLC's , or smaller content DLC's

sorry for the large msg:wizard:

I don't think this has been addresses yet, but just wondering if there will be any news on Fergus? I've beaten the game with a noble PC so I know about the end result to his tale but I am still wondering about the inbetween time. Any mention of him at least?

Worcanna, no where does it say "DLC content must be short and pointless"

I'm sure Bioware put as much polish into this as the main game.

Buts it a 20 minute stint to some shiny items that will make an already easy game... Even easier.

Bioware could add a layer of difficulty with some story based challenge dungeons, designed for players who've beaten the main game.

Heck make it a randomly generated 100 floor dungeon with bosses of progressional difficulty on every floor past 10, designed at people who've hit level cap... beaten AD and are ready for more.

The dragon age engine is actually pretty awesome... They could do a lot more with it than EA style "keep you interested but not entertained" starter courses...

:) Hi BioWare.

Can't you yanck (lift) the price for the RtO DCL up to $20 so peoples have some small thing to cry about.
For that money you can make next game an even better game... if that is possible.

Good game and nice dcl so far in my opinion

Thanks

I'd like to thank whoever lobbied for the price drop over there in Bioware. I know that couldn't have been easy.

I don't care about the price drop (as I bought the points weeks ago...) but I'd really like to see this released before I finish my next playthrough.

@ the person asking about Fergus: If you live through the end of the battle he is actually there in the hall with your other well wishers.

PS Is it even possible to have an expansion to this game given the epiloge at the end of the game?

Good Luck with the law suit. And an IP address is as good as an address IRL. Forum Sisco about it. It's just the online laws in other countries are obviously different. I doubt the FBI wants to look into the game of the year being pirated 13,000 times on pirate bay over some serial rapist or them "Weapons of Mass Destruction" you americans are still trying to find. :bandit:
