I never said that they owe us anything. i was just stating that running a business like this isn't right. Announcing something for the holidays then saying sorry it wont be out until after new years is wrong. Especially if it can be released before New Years for the pc and 360. It's not the consumers fault that Sony can't approve it fast enough and force the pc and 360 market to suffer because of it. Release it when it is ready and if the ps3 people complain tell them its there own fault for wanting trophys and a lowered price.RinpocheSchnozberry wrote...
Er, no. Life happens and they don't owe us anything. If they do miss the "Holiday Season" part, I will peer disapproving over my glasses at them, sure, but I won't have any less respect for them. $4.00 isn't bad, really. I cant even get a good burger for that. Not that free isn't nice. :-)
If Bioware can't release them all at the same time, they are possibly contractually obligated not to release them until they all are ready. Another company had to do the same thing with some DLC, was actually Microsoft's fault that time that the PS3 had to be delayed. Point is, unless Sony says "Go ahead, give it to Microsoft and PC, our users can wait" then odds are they probably can't release it until they can on all systems.

Is BioWare working next week?
It will be Christmas week. I've got a buddy at a big book publisher who is off this week and next week. I've also got a buddy at a smaller music publisher and they are off all next week. Those aren't personal vacations... the companies are closed. I'm thinking digital distros will be different, but what about testers and the certification teams? Will they be working right up to Christmas eve?
There is still hope it drops today. But I doubt it. Tuesdays are usually "The Release Day." So we would have heard by now. It's looking like next week is the drop... but I'm betting BioWare will be closed next week.
I would love to be wrong.
Canadians don't celebrate Christmas because they're all godless heathens who worship Baal.
Maybe.

If you're talking about my contribution here in this thread, then let me tell you it wasn't my intention to declare to the world that I won't buy it.packardbell wrote...
I still don't understand why people are coming in this thread stating they won't buy it, why declare it to the world... who cares?
We've had pages of negative attitude towards Bioware because they are releasing DLC not far from the game, yet you complain when there isn't any DLC, hypocrisy at its finest.
I just wanted to say that despite my opinion about 1h DLC, which I already "declared to the world" once a few weeks ago in a thread about DLC in general, I actually would buy "Return to Ostagar" right now, just because I like(d) DA so much. So it was meant as a compliment.
Well, I didn't criticise neither one nor the other, and without further discussing of the question if criticising both would necessarily have tobe hypocrisy, I will leave you to your duties now.packardbell wrote...

And I'm sure that if they decided to just release it by Xmas and not fix your 360 Achievements or whatever, you'd be crying a different river. Seriously, what is wrong with running a business like this? They could give us NO information, and instead we get weekly updates and we know exactly why things are being delayed and what's being planned. There was even a price drop, yo. Be reasonable! I don't care about gamerscore. I could care less if there was an achievement for Return to Ostagar or not. In my oppinion anyone who complains about achievements is immature.

Actually we worship the Lord of Winter. We celebrate his magnificence through ice bound games of physical competition, the champions of the holy games are granted the honor to drink from the sacred chalice.

For the rest of you wanting more and more content to be added, check Dragon Age Nexus. They're adding new player-made content all the time. Granted not all are gems, but a few really improve the game and add new weapons, armor, and potions. For now I guess I just have to keep waiting for Return to Ostagar.

One of the coolest things about this game is that your characters can become so unique with the use of class specializations. I was so pumped to find the first set of Templar Armor, but totally blown away when I stumbled upon the Knight Commander's Armor! (And i don't really even like being a Templar that much, but this armor just makes it that much cooler)
With BioWare's affinity for lore, I feel like class specializations and the relatively few related items are severely (no offense, they are great as is) underutilized.
Anyways, I am just curious as to whether this has been considered in this DLC, and perhaps, if you guys were planning on implementing any more class specialization specific items (and hopefully quests!?) in the future.
Great job with Wardens Keep. It might have been a tad short, but worth the effort and money for sure. Can't wait to play Return to Ostagar, and I'm pumped about the price drop!

1) if you have "Dog" you can add another "Dog" to your party... (figure when added if you picked up "Dog" the first time this one will randomly be Black, Dark Brown or Grey...WOOT) or I'll take a tainted she-wolf...
2) Big area, like Broken Circle, or Denerim, Orzmmar, that will give me an additional 5-6 hours of play (I tend to pick through my saves OVER and OVER...LAWL) I'll pay 20 bucks for it if it's 20 bucks BIG!!!!!
3) Some new unreleased vocal tracks and a new cool human male warden character to p/u for your party (think Mass Effect)... romancable by both sexes....LAWL
4) Duncan's armor,
5) AND a warden's alcove that looks over the wilds where you can heal up and have Bo and San there to sell and enchant to!!!!
6) last but not least a new human female hedge mage that adds a new blood mage spells and talents to the existing ones to have it be a actual 'school' of magic (just take any current school spells and redo the animation and tweak the effects or penalties....) that is a playable character....

Gaius315, you know that the Stone Prisoner not only adds the village of Honnleath? It also adds an personal quest ( I don´t know if you know about that so i won´t spoil it ) so for me the Stone Prisoner is a bit longer than Warden´s Keep. And better.
This.
Shale's sidequest adds another location in the Deep Roads at least the size of Honnleath, but you'll need to have finished the Orzammar treaties and also bumped up Shale's approval, which can be challenging to do just from conversation. The gift items for Shale are typical purchased from vendors and not found in the world. Particularly check the gem vendor in Orzammar I believe he has at least two of the "gift" gems.

They also added specialized gear (with a unique skin) for Blood Mages in Warden's Keep. Unfortunately you can't get it if you spare the old warden's life. As always with Bioware, most of the best equipment comes from killing everyone and not being so... forgiving.

I know a guy who "beat" the game on XBox in 8 hrs played.
Off-topic but seriously, 8 hours? Did you actually watch him do it? On a console I can't see how anyone could possibly beat this game in 8 hours, even on a PC it would be tough.
