XBL lists DAO DLC as "Coming Soon" so that probably means within a week or two. Then they also list DAO avatar clothes as "Coming Soon" as well.....probably this thursday since thursdays are when avatar items are releases so there's that to look forward to as well.

Throne of Bhaal - expansion pack for Baldur's Gate II.
Don't you dare to hope for anything the scale of Throne of Bhaal for at least a year; DAO is only little more than a month old, and it (suprise suprise) takes time to cook up new content in large scale.

weell exspensive or cheap and as much short content they make i dosnt matter.
theres always a bright side they dont haft to make dlc at all but we know that's not going to happen any company would take advantage of a great game.
also im wondering if you can get king cailens sword or however you spell his name in this upcoming dlc.

TOB- was an expansion pack for baldurs gate 2 one of the best RPGs on PC in many people opinion (including mine.) BG was based in the dungeons and dragons world and used d'n'd rules. TOB was sold as"epic level" play i beleive, basically it let your charcater/party members to become more powerful but also added alot more high level, challenging, fights (**** you abizgail lol.)

Augh! I can't wait any longer... I think I'm just going to blame this wait all on Sony, since everyone else on this thread does.

Why did bioware announce this so early? Were they afraid if they didn't give us one month's notice we wouldn't buy the DLC?

Bioware ran into conplications they hadn't forseen which forced them to postpone the release.TastyLaksa wrote...

What i meant was why did they announce it when there is no date of release. Wouldn't it be better if they didn't raise our expectations only to disappoint?
For example they only release the news one or two weeks before they confirm it's ready for release. More than enough time to be anticipating the release and it releases on time.
Now some people will just get fedup with waiting. And plus the longer you wait the more you expect so disappointment is highly likely isn't it?

I think in general it's good to announce new products as soon as possible with a realistic date of delivery to build up the excitement and anticipation, but in this case that probably turned out to be a bad call. Every day it's not released is just another few pages of "I didn't like Warden's Keep", "GTFO TROLL!" style conversations, which isn't exactly building up the enthusiasm. I'm glad they at least told us what's going on and gave an explanation for the (potential future) delay.

Well, he's a sword and shield user but I suppose you could hold the sword with both hands if that would make you happy.

Which is why I think they should catch us by surprise for the next DLC.

I know a guy who "beat" the game on XBox in 8 hrs played.
Off-topic but seriously, 8 hours? Did you actually watch him do it? On a console I can't see how anyone could possibly beat this game in 8 hours, even on a PC it would be tough.
Yeeeaaah... considering it takes a minimum of 20 hours of plain walking from site to site, not counting combat, I seriously doubt this. Unless there's some way to skip 80% of the story.
Hmm that would be rather interesting tho wouldn't it?
Screw treaties, screw party members, screw ferelden, go straight to the archdemon and whack him.

Funny thing is Cailan's sword model is already being used by another weapon already in the OC, the person who asked about it probably didn't look carefully in the Circle of Magi treaty questline

I have a suggestion for this. Please do not have the experience be one big grind against dark spawn with some loot of Duncan or Calen. That's not even worth a cup of coffee.
Some interesting cutscenes from bandits or scavengers would be nice. The bandit cutscenes near the beginning was priceless. Also, having quests to do for Flemeth would be nice too.

The more we wait the more expectations go up, the more we will be disappointed.
Why?
Why the premature announcement!

Just sit tight. The sooner it is released the more problems it will likely have. It takes time to cook up expansive content - especially big ones - and DAO is only little more than a month old. So - just sit tight.

That's what's weird - in-game, the King carries a two-handed sword with the same skin as Yusaris, he is not a sword and shield user; on the DLC page, suddenly he is.
