Average playtime is always tough to pin down because everyone's mileage will vary (and developers player the game in a very different manner than a typical first-time player). I suspect it would take a typical first-time player about an hour to complete.

Here we go for those that missed it it will be not 2hrs long...And they want 400msp for it.

$5.00 is nothing, I agree. For me. but what about people who are having problems in these hard times. Lets say you sell 200,000 copies at 5 bucks making 1 mill. You probably could have sold 2 mill at 3 bucks, making 6 mill. , being a long time bussiness owner, I feel your going about it tthe wrong way, Low prices =more sales, more sales = more cash. Also advertising is very expensive, what kind do you want. when people are complaining about pricing, it gets around. If people were all thinking it was a great value, the advertisement from that would make you company seem like "a people caring bussiness" and not "a money making business", Hey it's your choice.

Also as far as a dlc instead of an expansion, I won't buy it, as I consider it a tease. If I'm going to sit and play a game, it better be more then an hour. I would rather see a new game starting out where the group has to get back together and find morigan and begin from there. It's hard for me to finish a game and go back into the past. At least make the dlc's start after the ending and not about traveling into the past. It's like been there done that.

Thats not the issue, when will you ppl get it?

Its how Bioware has figured out how to make the most money by releasing microtransaction and charge you 5-7 times for a small fee that will be equal to something like a big expansion with a good story or gameplay.

thats the issue. I dont wanna go back and play DAO every 2-3 month to do a quest that last 20 min, I rather come back in 5-6 months and do something that last a few hours.

and Bioware, claiming that Wardens Keep last 3-4 hours , how low can you sink? who are you fooling?

In their defense, it does take about 3 hours to beat if you walk instead of run.

Humm well I cant wait hell I already got My Bio ware account ready ( about 3weeks ago ) ---I have to say for us die hard Rpg PlayersI have to hope we wont be waiting months between upgrades ( DLC's) as this will lesten the enjoyment,Having to keep checking For addons?-- Well Its the holiday Season and we wait

A 40 hour minimum is hardly any time?

To even make your argument plausible you seriously think that 1,800,000 people who own the Dragon Age game are objecting to a five dollar price tag and will not purchase it because of this?  That, good sir, is ludicrous.

I think that part of the problem, at least part of my problem, is that $5 is a bit much for an hour of entertainment for some people. It's a bit on the steep side for me. But this is coming from a guy who doesn't go to movies, or out to eat. Ever.

But in a post, they said they were bringing the price down a peg, and I'd gladly pay a couple of dollars less for an hour of entertainment.

Well.. Compared to what you get gamewise 5 dollars might be abit much.. Compared to what other things costs in life it's a ****** in the nile.. I'm torn as I agree with some friends that it's greedy for bioware to sell a dlc that prob will last somewhere between 30min and 1 hour for around 5 dollars.. Then on the other hand, 5 dollars is less then I pay for the buss to and back from work.. It's nothing..

Yeah, but paying is just encouraging them to give out more 30 min adventures with a nifty piece of armor at the end instead of working on bigger things. I don't know, whatever I guess.

These things come to mind on the topic, five bucks is nothing to me personally but put yourselves in the shoes of the fans and ask if it's really a Quality/Enjoyable/Great Value of a product.

I'm like many people - I feel that $5 is nothing this day in time, however, I don't want it to defer them from making longer and better DLC's. I'd LOVE to see an expansion pack or something that will last me a lot longer than 1-2 hours. I'd be more willing to pay $30-$40 for a 20-30hr expansion than $5 for 1hr. Just saying.



Either way, I'm excited about the new DLC and will be downloading it! Thanks for the hard work

What is wrong with whining anyway? It's certainly more entertaining than Bioware's decision to delay this for achievements. It's kind of like therapy, cause i am guessing that is what this thread is for considering there are few answers. For example
