If so, also the picture of James Sanders / Vega got me interested. So far it seems that it is still the sniper from the trailer.
They've already said he's not the trailer sniper.

Same here. I want grunt and James lol. Also I'm pretty sure bioware has said its not the guy in trailer.Varen Spectre wrote...
Do you mean the issue with some guy with the gas-mask on his face?
If so, also the picture of James Sanders / Vega got me interested. So far it seems that it is still the sniper from the trailer. Also his description:
"A new recruit to Shepard's squad is well-armoured commando. Intended as a tank, he will take the damage you don't want for yourself."
I hope that does not mean no krogans in our squad.

I'm assuming Vega = James?I'm thinking 7 to 9 squad mates. 7 being the default "first time to ME universe" play, 9 including some of the characters that survived ME2.
*X = new character
1. Liara
2. Vega
3. VS
4. X/Garrus
5 X/Tali
6. X/Jack
7. X/Whoever fills this role--possibly Grunt
8. Legion (assuming they survived)
9. Miranda/Jacob -- depending on gender of Shepard (assuming she survived)
And if I was to edit your lineup I'd have Legion as a temp, throw Thane in there somewhere (so all LIs would be in) and have the Miranda/Jacob thing be a choice and not based on gender.
Appropriate changes. Thane would be as practical as Legion.
Why do we even need a new human 'tank'? That used to be Ashley's job in ME1. I guess that means she's just 'cute girl soldier' now and not a powerhouse anymore.Varen Spectre wrote...

Maybe James is your stand-in tank if you nuked Ashley?
Don't know--I thought maybe they'd do a Carver/Bethany thing, only depending on the surviving VS instead of your class.Mesina2 wrote...
I highly doubt they'll make James different class depending on VS.

50 foot Cerberus Mech?
My inner 5 year old is pleased.
But he's there regardless and they describe him as a muscle-bound tank.AdmiralCheez wrote...

But Wrex was a Krogan and also a biotic, so it was less redundant.AdmiralCheez wrote...
Well, in ME1, you had both Ash and Wrex, and both were tanks...

I'm never going to use him anyway unless it's mandatory, so that doesn't matter to me (as my squad always = who I want to hear talk during dialogue)...
Oh, I feel ya there. I hope Ash is geared to hit hard and fast (but with reasonable defenses) while Jimmy just sits there and takes hits.Aris Ravenstar wrote...

I just don't want when it comes down to it for James to end up being the 'muscle' instead of Ash, or for her to be any less of a tough-as-nails badass just so he can be the big, burly manly man. And yes, this paranoia is partially inspired by her 'new look'.

'Human tank noobie here to introduce new characters' is not sounding interesting enough for me to consider bumping either of my favorites as of now. If he's not too annoying I may lug him around in a replay, but Garrus and Ashley are pretty much a lock for my squad the first time.didymos1120 wrote...
And how do you know he's not someone you'd want to hear?

The initial blurbs can still tell you something. For example, we knew fairly early on that Thane was the 'mysterious assassin' and Miranda was the 'professional Cerberus operative'. I'm just not interested in another Alliance soldier. Having only liked one out of three Alliance squaddies so far, the odds aren't great for him becoming someone I'll be interested in.Mesina2 wrote...

Yeah I love how people use that same excuse on here . Cerberus was doing something in ME 2 while those alien loving bastards the alliance did nothing . Cerberus is not terrorist in my eyes they cared more about humanity than the alliance ever will. Shepard on trail because the alliance is crying over the batarains who died . pathetic.
Cerberus does not care about humanity as a whole. Only Cerberus.
Which is what TIM's motive rant at the end was all about.
Thats fine if you buy that . Us renegade players know whats going on we are being forced to have our imported Shepard play as if our Shepards are paragons and its f**king bull sh*t .

But he could be a godly mix of Wolverine, Han Solo and Mal Reynolds and he'd have zero chance of making my squad. Sorry buddy, those seats have been reserved for two games.
@Cheez: I hope she can still take hits, since it'll be my Shepard and Garrus lining up those headshots.
