Well, if you thought about it, it actually makes sense for Miranda to be in the squad, as she's both Tech and Biotics. Jack, however, wouldn't make any sense. Liara fills all the same roles gameplay wise. So either you willfully don't understand gameplay design and squad mechanics, or you're a very committed troll.

Kaidan and Miranda are the same class though.

Then again, ME2 doubled up on some stuff so I can see them doubling up on classes as well. I'd love to have a double sentinel squad.

I think she's just heavily speculated, and from a squad perspective it's unlikely. With Liara returning there's no need for a pure-Biotics squad member, which is all Jack was good for. She'll definitely be involved, but if she is a squad member I'd imagine she'd be a temp. squadmate, rather than a full time member.

Honestly, I'm thinking we're looking at a team of around 8-10 members. Right between ME1's 6 and ME2's 12.

I don't give a sh*t if Liara is a biotic or not but Jack and Miranda better be on the squad . If Liara is the only biotic then Bioware is really ass kissing the ME 1 fans

This is, unfortunately, the worry - ME2 does have a place in the canon... and given the short time between Arrival and ME3, it smells of fan-service to marginalise the ME2 squad. For myself, Liara, Miranda, Garrus, Tali and Legion (and without Legion, Tali is pretty pointless as I want to see the Quarian-Geth war resolved and I believe it is Legion and Tali that are key to that) are absolutely core.

Jack is a CQC Adept. Liara is a ranged Adept. 2 different niches. Also judging by the ME3 screens Kaidan is a CQC Sentinel and Miranda is a ranged Sentinel, again 2 different niches.

Edit:
Also my canon Soldier Shep is looking forward to having his squad bonie (and LI) Miranda and his ME1 broham Kaidan on the same squad. ALL bases will be covered with this squad set up

Before this turns into a paragon/renegade, ME3 catering to ME1 alliance paragons...

Via Casey Hudson twitter:
@Zaseka Shepard had no choice but to work with Cerberus in #ME2. But both #ME2 and #ME3 let you roleplay whether you agreed with that.

Well, in ME2 you had multiple squad members who could do Biotics: Samara, Miranda, Jacob, Thane, and Jack, and each served a specific role: Samara was long range firepower and biotics, Miranda was biotics and tech, Jacob was biotics and long range combat, Thane was the same as Miranda (IIRC), and Jack was pure biotics.

Essentially, what they did was take the three Biotic squad members from ME1 and divide them up. Thus Wrex's Biotics and Combat became Samara and Jacob, Kaidan became Miranda and Thane, and Liara was Jack. Now, since we know that they're reducing the squad size, to my aforementioned 8-10, gives us a rough idea of what the remaining squad members will be. Liara has pure biotics covered, and she's a non-contingent squad member (ie you get her no matter what), so we can rule out Jack. Kaidan is Biotics and Tech, but as he's a contingent squad member, we'll likely see a Kaidan substitute (most likely Miranda) if you'r playthrough doesn't include him. That leaves us with Biotics and Combat, which most likely will be filled by a new character, as I can't see anyone who'd really fill that role. Wrex would make sense, but then it's pretty much the ME1 reunion tour, and god forbid we have that. Samara might work, but she doesn't really fit, and she's doubly contingent (she can die, and even if she survives is sworn to kill Renegade Shepard.) Maybe Thane or Jacob, but I doubt it. My guess is there are new characters for each combat role. We know that Sanders is a soldier, so that leaves us with Sanders-analogues for Biotics and Tech.

The squad is most likely going to be composed of, and remember this is a total guess, five returning squad members (Liara, Garrus, Ash/Kaidan, Tali, and one more (Most likely Miranda)) and three new characters, each fulfilling one of the class roles. Also, pretty much everything I just said applies to the other class roles.

I think it's pretty obvious that TIM is somehow either indoctrinated or gone mad from the revelation of what the Human-Reaper was, and is now convinced that working for the Reapers is the best way to advance Humanity. What better way to ensure "...Human dominance over the Reapers and beyond!" than to get absorbed and made into one?

That's not to say that all of Cerberus is bad. I'm no fan of them, but on the scale of "Freedom Fighter to Terrorist" they're more FF's with bad PR than out and out terrorists.

Hell no. The Illusive Man is Mac Walter's favortie character. He said so himself. Turning him into a mustache twirling cartoon villan is out of the question. It's more likey that there's been a schism or coup in the Cerberus organization after the events of Retribution.

I'm pretty sure one of the sources (think it's sourced in the confirmed features thread) said that TIM was going to be a major antagonist. Then again, everything right up to release of ME2 heavily hinted that Legion was going to be the secondary antagonist to the Collectors, and look how that turned out.

For God's sake GIVE IT A REST!
You're wasting your wasting trying to get attention with such awful, AND pitiful comments. Zero effect on us man.

Quit plaguing us with your highly annoying hatred of a character others and I care about.

Well the info here certainly cements ME3 as a 'wait for a sale' purchase for me.

Kinda sad, as when they released the first big ben sniper trailer I was aiming for a day one buy, for once. But this... This isn't the ME3 I was hoping or even expecting.

I guess I should be thankfull for confirmation that they really sunk their own ship :(
