And we're bringing everyone back - every main character is in Mass Effect 3 somewhere"

This was IMO the best info from the magazine. I don't mind us having a few more squadmates, just make more squad banter and I'm happy:)

That's nice...

Random insult with no else content.

I take it you didn't have anything relevant to add to the topic then?

Come on. Like YOU had anything relevant to add to the topic. We're supposed to be talking about a magazine article not our purchasing history.

This is just.. ok where's my popcorn bucket.

You mean like I commented that the info revealed formed my decision of how I would purchase it? Yes, that WAS on topic. You, in your weird crusade to align with troills, however, is careening off topic now.

Assuming everybody with a differing opinion is a troll.

Cute^_^

Seriously, if they put shields, a decent HUD, and maybe a better gun on the thing, everyone would be singing prasies of the Hammerhead right now.

All that indeed.

I liked the missles, but a nice plasma cannon, or a pair of gatling guns, (or spikes on the front for vehicular manslaughter attacks )  would have been nice.

And a spoiler

and a body kit

and racing stripes

Did you like jumping that thing Admiral?  I loved crusing  / gliding over cliffs.  The mobility was awesome was'nt it (more or less proving that Bioware was somewhat "inspired" when it came to the hammer head design)

Also, why does Hudson claim that you were 'begrudgingly' working for Cerberus in ME2? I know of a few people who I imagine would strongly disagree with that (looks at ExtremeOne).

Yeah, I think I just goofed around with it when I first got it to see how high I could get and how far I could jump, then hit the boosters, charge at a wall, and see if it could turn fast enough so I wouldn't hit it.

In the words of Jenkins, "That was awesome!"

The Hammer head was a huge step in the right direction (my opnion) by making the Normandy's ground craft more mobile (jumping with that thing and hitting the afterburners was a rush)   Launching missles was fantastic.

Like i said, only problem, was that it was extremely fragile.

And hover crafts rule.  :)

So i personaly have faith that ME3 will have improvements over me 2

The hammerhead were mobile, yes, but I hated the firing mechanisms of it, it's paper thin armor, and the way they used it.

-firing mechanism: Shots didn't go where I aimed. I had to fire a few shots, find out which target the vehicle wanted to shoot at (not which target I wanted to shoot at) and then shoot at the target chosen for me. Even then I had to find a zone on a 'feeling' where I should shoot to get connects, rather than aim at the target I wanted to connect with.

-Paper armor: Don't think I need to add anything to this one.

-the way they used it: Only area the hammerhead was used like a regular vehicle was in overlord, in the area connecting the 3 areas after the first base. All other places it was used more as an excuse to dump the player into a platform game, instead of letting him play the 'rpg-3rd person shooter' he had loaded the game for.

So yes, I disagree with your perception of the hammerhead. I found the Mako a far better experience, despite it's crappy handling in rough terrain.

absolutely.   Mobility is important for a ground combat vehicle, something the mako more or less did'nt have (it could scale and climb but it handled like a city bus)

More or less proving that Bioware was inspired to do something better with the vehicle combat.   Yeah, the hammer head could'nt take much punishment.   but it was fun.

Esspecially with those aforementioned boosters.   I love hit those things and getting a punch of speed.

This was also my favourite bit. And good news, if you really like squad banter, there was an additional tweet from Casey saying they are revamping the banter system (not that there really was a banter system in ME2) so there is that to look forward to.

For people who are supposed to be fans, a good majority of people on here do a hell of a lot of b*tching against Bioware and Mass Effect in general. I'm not saying that being a fan means you have to blindly accept everything they do but I see so many people saying "I won't be buying this game, Bioware have sunk their own ship."

Sorry? So what exactly are you contributing to everyone elses and your own life by posting on these forums or even being on the forums? It's highly ranked in my "Stupidest things said" list, especially seeing as I would bet you WILL buy the game anyway. You wouldn't have any remote interest on being on these forums if you weren't.

Lost count at 24 because Grunt and i were laughing too hard.  Unfortunately it took me and Garrus hours to wash that baby after.  :pinched:

I personally thought that the Hammerhead was hilariously good fun to drive. Certainly it's mobility is great fun. I wouldn't mind an alternative fire mode and some armour that doesn't explode after a second and a half of turret fire, prohibiting you from participating in any actual combat with it on any difficulty above normal, but I thought that the vehicle actually controlled fantastically.

I hope it, or something similar, is included within the gameplay of other missions more often, for example in Overlord.

Accusing others of schoolboy silliness? That's rich. As is snarking back at someone who is here to enforce the forum rules. But that's your perogative. As is how you spend your money. We really don't care that you don't want to pre-order a game that we know little about so far. Actually, I would suggest that very few people have already locked in pre-orders.

I call it as I see it. You're welcome to disagree with my opinion, but when people start insulting me with random insults instead of debating the content of the post I made, is when they cross the line.

I have'nt insulted you.... but i do want to see your response to me basically saying you are making wild assumptions without having played the game (or seen anything other than a dozen pictures and half as many articles.)

I don't believe I've made any insinuations in that regard either?

As for my 'wild asumptions', they aren't any more 'wild' than just being based on what they have specifically said.

It's called feedback.

The devs read the forums, or get info about them. There are already cases of stuff that have been implemented in their games if they believed that 'this is what the fans wants'.

The only way to get a better product is to supply feedback about the stuff you are unhappy with, in order to hopefully get a fix for it. If you just sit and clap in your hands at any news and never make any criticism with stuff you are unhappy about, you won't have any chance at all of ever getting the stuff changed. The devs aren't mind readers, after all.

They release info that advertize the game heading a direction where I won't care for it as a day1 release -> I tell them such, I might even supply details of why if I have a faint hope of the thread getting attention.

This gives them the option of weighing wether they feel my reservations are affecting a big enough part of their customers for them consider it, and if so, how they might get around fixing it to get back my faith, and thus my money on the night of release. As mentioned several times several places on the forums: things aren't set in stone yet, so things can change.

Thus we make our unhappiness heard about issues we are unhappy with in the hope that it gets dealt with before release, hopefully for a better game for all.

Ofc, random trolls that delight in just insulting anyone that shows they disagree with the released info as being 'the gospel of truth' doesn't exactly make it easier to either get a meaningfull debate on the topics, nor do anything for providing proper feedback to the devs on the actual product.

Common sense would dictate that the devs read (and take seriously) the "Feedback posts" that don't sound that whiney

Posts where you proclaim how you "will wait for a sale" or "wont be buying the game on day one" (based on assumptions) more or less come off as whiney

Y'know, the complainers do their fare share of trolling. Arguably a higher percentage of trolls are, in fact, complaining about the game or otherwise using a percieved negative aspect to enflame the forums.

Not to mention that half the time the people making the complaints are so high up on their horse of entitlement that they are convinced their view of the game is the only possible right way for it to be. Thus spamming as many threads as they can find with their viewpoint and bemoaning how the world is against them and that they must fight the good fight to get BioWare to recognise the awful mistakes they are making before it's too late.

Then of course, the game is released and half the things people were complaining about (or more in the case of the ME series) get praised or ignored by most players and critics.
