So, it would make zero sense right now if The Illusive Man would just switch sides and attack Sheppard. Especially after the Evolution comic. So, what if The Illusive Man is no longer in command of Cerberus? What if Cerberus is now under Reaper control? We know for a fact that The Illusive Man has reaper tech laying around and is actively experimenting with it. At some point he might just slip. This could result in a reaper infested AI, indoctrinated operatives, and a number of other possible "bad stuff". The Illusive Man could be gone, and none would be the wiser. Further on, in the critical failure ending of the Arrival, we see The Illusive Man standing alongside our squad watching the Reapers invade the Earth:

At 1:45

This could have been done before, but I didn't find a thread anywhere, so I decided to post.

This is my suspicion as well.

Mac Walters has repeatedly said Illusive Man is his favorite character that he's ever written. I can't imagine he'd reduce him to the status of a mere Reaper goon.

It was said that they are working FOR the Reapers. Many people just didn't think to leave TIM out of the forumula.

TIMs been slowly indoctrinated ever since Evolutions. Eye's are proof.

Those eyes have never been a sign of indoctrination. And its been years. Indoctrination happens over the course of weeks.

and like He said TIM has been away from it for years. They need to be in contact to feel the indoctrination, or so everything leads to this fact so far.

If the Reapers are the Blight then TIM is Loghain. At least I hope he is. I don't trust him, but if I could have him in my corner, 9 times out of 10 I'm picking him.

It's more of the husks who have that look to them (which are under the influence of the reapers). The real question is can he still hear them in his head (enough to use it to his advantage), and is this how he knew they were involved in ME2 before they found evidence of it. But that is for a diffent board to disscus.

Indoctrination is a cheap way to provide motivation. Through indoctrination, you can make any character do and say whatever you want, and you don't have to bother making sense.

I really hope they don't say the reapers indoctrinated TIM. He deserves his own independent development.

You ever look at Saren's eyes?

It's starting to seem real likely T.I.M. might have gotten indoctrinated. Though I think it would be a bit more nifty if T.I.M. was after you for other reasons.

Still the indoctrination is very likely. I mean the Reapers seem to have an interest in Shepard's body, so perhaps through some subtle influence convinced T.I.M to rebuild Shepard. I imagine the indoctrination effects on T.I.M. are very subtle. He's been doing stuff to aid the Reapers without being aware that he actually is. Hence probably all the "super soldier" projects, the Geth control stuff from Overlord, etc. T.I.M. thinks he's fighting the Reapers but he's actually aiding them in minor ways.

Sending Shepard to fight against the Collectors is probably what the Reapers wanted. That way they could seize Shepard's body for whatever purpose. I mean you ran into way too many traps in ME2 for it to be coincidence. The Illusive Man thinks he's being crafty, but he's actually been playing into the Reaper's hands. Luckily Shepard and company are a lot more capable then the Reapers give them credit for.

But that doesn't explain how it happened. In every media source so far they needed to be in contact or infected with some kind of reaper tech. He hasn't come into direct contact or been near something like that in a while. Why would they make him rebuild shep and steal from themselves that doesn't make sense.

Saren was more machine than organic by the time that his eyes started to glow. No other organic has shown glowing eyes at any point, let alone the symbols that TIM has in his eyes.

calming down from the nerdrage at the Cerberus='faceless goon squad of evil' reveal, I don't mind now. Cerberus can do whatever they normally wouldn't do and I won't care

Just so long as they leave me my Normandy crew and TIM, those guys are cool.

Also, Shepard can get glowy eyes and it doesn't mean anything. Same goes for TIM, it just looks cool(hopefully)

But sadly it does mean something for TIM as it is part of the back story for him. they aren't just simple implants. I however do not believe that it means he is indoctrinated.

I read the gameinformer it's Going too be something other than indoctrination because they wouldn't say why he's after Shepard.

I don't think any of them actually know yet. Data has been sketchy and different magazines have different stories.
