Not too be too much of a killjoy, but thats not really confirmation, its far too vague. For all we know he meant that full sets like the Cerberus armour or Dragonblood armour will have the ability to remove the helmet at Sheps locker in his cabin, nothing more.

Well...what more do you want?

The same as many others, a simple 'yes, toggleable helmets will be making a return in ME:3', not vague in the slightest and answers what many of us have been asking for.

And what is that

I'm going to assume that you intended that as a question rather than a statement.

Were you asking what toggleable helmets are?

If so just go back and play ME:1 and I'm sure you'll spot it.

No I was asking what more do you want the helment option is in the game

Helmest option is in the game great. In my opinion collapsible helmets (dead space anyone) would be more high tech :)

I'll believe it when I see it. Word isn't exactly bond these days, and neither are tweets.

What, you mean the fact that Shepard can wear a helmet in a vacuum so he doesn't die of asphixiation?  We should be grateful of this in a Sci-Fi game?  As I said earlier, all that this might mean is that people who like to wear full sets like the Cerberus Armour will now have the option to run all the way back to the normandy, get in the lift, go all the way up to Shepards cabin and remove it, then get in the lift, go back down, leave the ship and go back to what they were doing.  Or you could add a 'toggle' option to the inventory like they did in ME:1...

I'm actually more concerned with whether Miranda, Mordin, Samara, etc. will get real helmets / spacesuits this time, as opposed to having to mostly make due with street clothes and painter's masks.

Yeah, great to see they are doing that. I don't care much about armor helmet, but sometimes I create a character and I try to be realistic as much as I can, so these times I force myself to put a helmet in the necessary places, like battlefield, Omega, etc, but I want not to use them when I'm in the Citadel, for example.

I get that I am all for squad mates wearing full armor on missions and helments . I also like having the option as well back in the game . The option should be in menus and not requrie you to go back to the SR 2 .

Precisely, the whole point of my post was simply to point out that this function has not been confirmed, we may hope that its in the game, but so far we have had no confirmation.  What was said was very vague.

Meh. Let Dead Space be Dead Space and ME be ME. No need for collapsible helmets.

Helmet toggle.

I hate to be "that guy" but Casey didn't actually say anything about helmet toggle (I know you chose the thread title carefully, OP). For all we know, the system will be exactly like ME2. Don't get your hopes up yet, people.

Agreed.  There's no need for collapsible helmets in ME3.

oh boy... this means I can wear something else other than the 2 pieces of armor without incorporated helmets available in ME2. I hope it also applies to goggles

That's good, I'm still hoping to see armor on every squadmate.
And I don't think it's a time for collapsible helmets. Everyone used usual helmets in first two games, so it would be strange to see something different in ME3.

Dead Space was not the first game with collapsible helmets. Also ME has collapsible weapons already so it would make perfect sense. And the whole point of it? It would eliminate one of the biggest argumens against helmet toggle - helmets would not vanish into thin air anymore. So there are very good reasons for that and it does not have to look and feel exactly as in Dead Space, all depends on the animation and modeling.

I am pleased by this announcement.

Will there be a booby and booty slider in ME3? This is important.

This is actually a good idea.  So it probably won't happen. Image IPB

Helmet toggle must be unavailable when you are in space/hazard, we can`t breathe toxic gas and vacuum.

If you chose to wear a helment in 3 that does not matter because you would already be wearing one anyway .

What about the stat benefits? Can it be like in DA2 where you can just make the helmet invisible (or at least during cutscenes)?

i think that was such a BAD idea, in DA2,in fact that just because i dislike it that much it was one of the reason i return the game even though they gave me less for it. they shoulnt force the player not to have the helmet in the cutscenes, i prerer wearing mine, like in mass effect 2 full sets. they should give a option if you want helmet on during cutscnes or not. but not force players one way or the other

I always think stargate, not games.
