I have this problem where the game becomes really sluggish after about half an hour of playing. Loading times become increasingly longer, menus take more time to appear, FPS start to diminish, stutter starts, etc. Even the main menu of the game becomes sluggish. If I exit the game and get back in, it gets fixed, but after a while it happens again. It's becoming very annoying to the point that it's detracting me from playing.
My system is a Core i7 930, 6GB DDR3, Radeon HD5850 desktop. I was searching around the internet and some people seem to have had the same problem, and some say they didn't have it at 1.02. Should I reinstall DA:O and stay at 1.02? Do you think it'll help?
The game becomes sluggish after a while.

The entire web site's message traffic is extraordinarily sluggish, as if summer was already here (things always become very slow when summer comes, and weekends are the worst of all, particularly any three-day holiday weekends). Today is the second day of a weekend, but the forums have been mostly dead since Thursday evening.
Among the Self-Help PC Tech forums, only DAO has had "some" activity. Both Mass Effect PC Tech forums have been very dead, and the DA2 PC Tech forum is even worse than that.
The Witcher II will be out next Tuesday, and I think I will replace my next to last CRT with an LCD panel in anticipation (which I didn't consider DA2 to have been enough of an excuse to have done so for it).
So it left me with plenty of time when I finally took some out for backtracking in this place, to wonder what happened for this thread's author.
