Sebastian end game question.

If i rival him I hear he threatens me for not killing Anders can you kill him to keep him from gathering an army?
Also If he goes to be a prince he stills stays celibate?
Does he not get how creating an heir works?

If you rival him and push him toward retaking Starkhaven, he doesn't say anything about staying celibate or Chantry vows or make any creepy chaste marriage proposals. If you friendship him, he does not intend to go back and be a prince (unless you spare Anders) and presumably stays celibate.

Well, since the chantry isn't there anymore it remains unsettled if Sebastian will stay a celibate friar even if you friendship him.
It's an interesting question too, because he specifically says he is waiting for a sign from the Maker to (finally) make up his mind. I am kind of thinking that the Chantry being exploded into dust is a big fricking sign, but who knows how Sebastian, the Prince of Waffles, would interpret it.

Well, we know how he interprets it if you let Anders live: he goes to Starkhaven. And no, there's no way to avoid that if Anders lives. He will always leave unless the mage dies. Which is why I always wave goodbye to Sebastian at Lowtown and make sure I take all of his good equipment with me.
But that isn't his interpretation of the deeper meaning and purpose of the Chantry exploding and how it relates to him, given his Maker-centric worldview; that is him having the grandfather of all temper tantrums because Hawke isn't doing what Sebastian wants him to.

Oh, I 100% agree with you. Especially as my first run through the game, I rivaled him. I spent the whole time pushing him towards Starkhaven, with him dragging his feet and resisting. Meanwhile, Elthina's playing the angel on his shoulder saying violence and vengeance aren't the answer. But sparing Anders and refusing his vengeance is what spurs Seb into action? Even knowing the grand cleric wouldn't want him to do it?
Ah well. I like his character, I do. But as a staunch Anders fan, I'll never have Seb at my side towards the end.

You keep using that word.
I do not think it means what you think it means.

Seb is my favorite character after Anders and Varric. And he's such a magnificent foil for my Hawke.
Doesn't keep me from sparing Anders and rolling my eyes at his tantrum.

Yeah, the only things that are 'canon' are the things that happen in everyone's game, so Anders being executed by Hawke is therefore not canon.

See above.
I love Sebastian, I really do. Partly because his banters with the other party members are entertaining, and partly because... well, let's be honest here. Tormenting him is fun.

I enjoy picking all the "You really should go back to Starkhaven" lines in every single conversation. It feels like I'm trolling him since he's so insistent on wanting to stay in the Chantry.
The best banter is the one when Anders sounds paranoid and crazy about being judged and Sebastian's going, "
And to whoever called him "Prince of Waffles" earlier: That is hilarious. Thanks for that.
Edit: Spelling.

"That one looks like a bunny rabbit!" : D
Made even more hilarious by the fact that we were inside a windowless building at the time.

If Merrill's in your party at the time, she adds, "Oh, I saw that one too!" I stumbled on this purely by accident because I almost never haul her around, but it was worth it for this one banter.

I don't feel so much like I'm trolling him, and more like my Hawke is trying to get him to DO SOMETHING, goddamnit. Of course, that backfired on her spectacularly in the endgame. I laughed.

Seb is as crazy as Anders when the *next passion hits*.
He was so upset hearing the divine might take action against kirkwall and harm innocents to stop an uprising of mages and turns around and wants to burn the entire city down to kill one man. *boggle*
I just let him go up with the chantry now by never taking his quests. Its much more statisfying. (I know he does because I hear his disembodied voice talking to the grand cleric doing the Justice quest and he is always standing right beside her, quests taken or not.)
pity tho...that voice...sigh

I feel the same way.
It seems a shame to take a good looking character with a cool accent, and make him go on endlessly about religion. plus he is celibate wth? Seems like they could have made this character a lot better IMO.

No.
The only people who are defintely dead in canon are
- Leandra
- Orsino
- Meredith
- Elthina
- (only if Hawke's a mage) Bethany
- (only if Hawke's a rogue/warrior) Carver
- Malcolm Hawke
I may have missed a couple but Anders is not on that list.
