I searched a bit:

Direct quote from Retribution:

As cautious as the Illusive Man was with his operatives and operations, he was downright paranoid
when it came to protecting this one location. Including Kai Leng, who was on board right now, only six
Cerberus field operatives had ever set foot on this space station. Each time one of them visited he had the
crew relocate the vessel to another system as soon as the guest departed.
The mobility preserved the secrecy, as did the harsh personnel screening practices used to recruit the
onboard crew. The two dozen Cerberus agents who manned the unnamed space station that served as
his inner sanctum were the most loyal and devoted of his followers. These were the fanatics, the zealots.
They were identified through a battery of psychological tests from among the Cerberus rank and file,

Nope, Miranda does not know where TIM is.

How many times were things retconned in Mass Effect series?

Plus, if so, then the whole giant red/blue...star thing is meaningless. Don't think that's the case, there's something about it we don't know yet.

Youre just being stubborn. I provided you with a direct quote from something that is considered lore, you deny it... well... at least I'm not the one sounding stupid.

Honestly, how pathetic it would be from the story point of view? You are someone who leads a shadow organisation, hunted by the Council and possibly by Aria (*spoiler* if she'll learns that he killed his child... and it does sound possible). Additionaly you go after Shepard, a man who killed a Reaper, destroyed the Collectors. You know that one of his companions knows where you are... what do you do? Yes. You stay in the same place and wait untill they come for you.

I'm not saying that Miranda shouldn't be a squadmate btw.

Lol, relax man, we're just having a conversation.

I will be interested to see exactly how we take TIM down, since he changes his location every single time something happens. That would make it pretty much...impossible to find him. Unless Bioware goes the generic typical path "Liara knows where he is now".

That would be even less interesting.

The thing is, is that thing behind him really a star hen..... A visualised network, a Super EDI? And if it is a star, then it clearly holds some importance to TIM

What do you do? Mr. Kusy, I'll tell you what you do, you get a back crunching chair, a White cat, and a floor that retracts to reveal a pool filled containing sharks.... With lasers attached to them no less.....

This Illusive Man stuff's easy..... Now where's that guy with metal plates for teeth?

The unnamed space station he used as his base was orbiting a red giant-class M star. Thesemispherical edge of the burning sun filled the entire lower half of the viewing window, its brightnessdominating but not completely obscuring the field of stars behind it.The star was in the last stages of its six-billion-year life span. As the grand final act culminating itsexistence, it would collapse in upon itself, creating a black hole to swallow the entire system. The planetsand moons it had spawned in its birth would be devoured in the inescapable gravitational pull of the dark, gaping maw left behind by its death [...]

[...] which was why the holo-pad was located so that it looked outover the chair by the viewing window. When the window was active, the Illusive Man would be framed by whatever astronomical wonder the station happened to be orbiting at the time: a bold and powerfulvisual to reinforce the image he had carefully fostered over the years.

Take it for what it is. I wouldn't really mind if that's it and nothing more.

I want to see Miri in ME3. She is my Favorite character and she is my LI. Image IPB

I hope she will be in my squad. Either Permanent or Temp but mostly Permanent (way more than temp)! Image IPB

I also want to see her destroy multiple Cerberus groups one by one, leaving TIM alone and unprotected. Image IPB

This pretty much sums up what I'm thinking when naysayers and haters come through.

The problem is, that doesnt mean anything. Miranda was nigh-invulnerable on the SM because she needed to say a few things and Bioware didn't want to spend the resources to give those lines to someone else in case of Miranda's death. A technical reason, nothing more.

There's no way around it, they can shaft her if they see a reason for it. Team member balance, VA costs, or simply the dislike of someone on the dev team when they decide whose role gets reduced, all that can be the deciding factor. If they want, they can twist the story to fit any scenario convincingly, since for any scenario where you can add additional facts, there is an unlimited number of ways to make it plausible.

Casey Hudson said that there would be "final resolutions" for the romances, so what I fear is that Miranda's role will be reduced to what is necessary for that, and that fear will only be laid to rest once she is confirmed as a team member.

But I already said it, that will not be enough. I can envision several different scenarios for Miranda having a satisfactory presence in the game, but they all include significant and continuing interaction, at least a part-time team member status not limited to one mission, a role in the plot and her presence in the endgame.

Likely we won't know about that until we are playing ME3. But it would be a relief to have at least some minimum requirements confirmed.

Theres too much to worry about Image IPBImage IPB

I don't want to press the panic button lol.

A lot of other characters  have been confirmed mostly due to popularity. I'm tired of this problem with popularity.

It's not fair. BioWare is taking the longest to confirm Miri. Image IPBImage IPB

As for Miranda knowing where TIM is - possibly she does (ME2 intro), possibly she doesn't (Retribution), but that, too won't matter should Bioware decide to reduce her role. We cannot second-guess them. We have to wait for confirmation.

Which is almost unbearable at this point. Yes, MASSEFFECTfanforlife101, there is too much to worry about. I try very hard not to let it consume me.

As for Bioware's tidbits of information: to be fair, they confirmed Ashley/Kaidan and Liara first. Which is OK for me since their fans had to wait for a long time. I only resent Garrus' confirmation (and Tali's of which I'm not quite sure in spite of what the confirmation thread says). It's not really a surprise but I resent it to hell nonetheless. I've seen too many games, books and TV series where my favorites got the shaft because others were more popular. The mere chance of yet another such instance with my favorite character in the ME series drives me up the wall.

I try too. But it's overwhelming. Why give other fans what they want, only to disappoint us Miri fans by leaving us hanging?
It's like a HUGE middle finger to us. Image IPBImage IPB

I feel like we're BioWare's punching bag for crying out loud. Image IPBImage IPB

Well, the Kaidan/Ashley fans had it worse in ME2. Only Garrus and Tali's fans got what they wanted all the time.

Well at least they know that either Kaidan or Ashley will return. :(

Doesn't BioWare realize the amount of disappointed fans out there if what we fear happens?Image IPB

Oh what's the point? They probably wouldn't care as long as they get money in there pockets from the happy AND lucky fans....Image IPB

well, Miranda was the only squaddie that died in my story..

I've heard that happen for some people, but super rare.

It's as easy to get her to die as it is any other except for one thing. If you pick her as the leader of the second squad, while you and your team go through the swarm, she can't die, even if she's unloyal.
Other than that, she'll die just like the rest.

I wouldn't say she'll die like the rest. She's got plot armor until the final talk with your surviving squad, after the seeker swarm part. The only way to get her killed is to have only weak defenders in your team holding the door, causing most (if not all) of your other squadmembers to get killed as well, or make sure she is not loyal and take her with you to the boss fight.

I'm hoping too get some more info on Miranda as well. The wait is a killer.

To me these squad mates seem more focused on the long term goal which is to defeat the Reapers -

Garrus
Miranda - She's talking to TIM in the beginning
Tali
Ash/Kaiden
Jacob
Liara
James Vega (I'm guessing)

These characters were recruited for the suicide mission -

Jack - She tells you that she wants to leave once the mission is over.  However I could see a romanced Jack wanting to stick around.
Thane
Grunt
Mordin
Samara/Morinth
Legion

You know that hugely popular character voiced by a mildly famous actress?

Yeah, they are going to cut her out of the game and never mention her.

Miranda is the perfect person to send out and "distract" Cerberus, since she probably knows a lot of their secrets. If not at Shepard's side in ME3, I imagine that she'd be out tearing Cerberus apart brick-by-brick.

Nothing from Bioware, this is just speculation coming from me. I think Miri will be a squadmate in ME3, simply for a few facts.

*ME2 spoilers*******

-Well first, she's an LI. A lot of speculation going around on the forums that the LIs are the most likely to be squadmates, which makes sense. She's one of the most popular characters as well.

-She was the hardest to get killed in the SM mission, her survival was pretty much guaranteed

-I think the story with her family (sister) and Cerberus now against Shepard, this will play into the game

-And most importantly, she knows where TIM is....this is huge. Unless they bring to her TIM's location blindfolded, which is a far stretch, she knows where he is. Once crap hits the fan in ME3 against Cerberus, I think her likeliness of being a squadmate is increased, and her help in tracking down/taking out TIM will be essential

What do you think?

i'd love to see miri back as a squad mate for mass effect 3! she'd be a massive help along with jacob to bring down t.i.m
