if she's loyal the only way i know to kill her is the air ducts, but theres no reason any intelligent person would use her for that part.

Theres too much to worry about
I don't want to press the panic button lol.
A lot of other characters have been confirmed mostly due to popularity. I'm tired of this problem with popularity.
It's not fair. BioWare is taking the longest to confirm Miri.
I don't necessarily think that BW is holding back Miri info based on her popularity. Most of the details we know come from the GI and OXM articles. I listened to the GI podcast available at their hub and both the guys that wrote their feature article pretty much gleaned all the info for the article while playing a demo level. After listening to them describe their expereince with the demo it was plain that all the confirmed characters were in the demo. Maybe the assests for Miri weren't ready at the time these two articles were written so her character wasn't included in the demo.

My take is that they are holding her back because she has a huge role to play with Cerberus who in turn we won't get to find out why they are against us until we play the game (according to magazines anyway...)

She may have once known where TIM was, but how out of date is her information by ME3? Consider that by ME3 Cerberus is on the run and many of it's facilities are being raided by the Turians, thanks to intel supplied to them by Anderson. With many of Cerberus' agents being killed or arrested, it would be very likely that TIM would move to a location that was not listed on some captured datapad or known to Cerberus agents who may have been caught in the round up. Given the situation going into ME3, TIM staying put would only increase the risks of him being compromised and getting the Osama bin Laden treatment.
In addition to that and depending on how you played your Shepard in ME2, Miranda *may* have betrayed the Illusive Man and sided with an anti-Cerberus Shepard as he blew up the Collector base. As such, from TIM's point of view she can no longer be trusted. Even without the Turians, TIM would have had to relocate if Miranda knew of his location. Any Cerberus safe houses or space stations known to Miranda would be compromised.

Actually, loyal Miranda is unkillable except in an "everyone dies" ending.Clonedzero wrote...

(1) She can't be selected as tech specialist
(2) She will always survive as a team leader
(3) She will never be carried away by the swarm
(4) If she's first on the death list of the hold-the-line group, the group will be strong enough that no one dies (the same for any other team member with the loyal hold-the-line rating of 2).
(5) If she's loyal, she will survive the final boss.
Unfortunately, that means nothing with regard to her return in ME3. We already know she will be "in Mass Effect 3 somewhere" (Casey Hudson), but of course that's not enough. If they pull a Horizon on her while Garrus and Tali get preferential treatment as being the only team members present in all three games I don't know what I'm going to do. They'd have ruined two characters for me. I used to like Tali in ME1, and I still like her outside of her romance in spite of the annoying hype, but if she's stealing all the screen time from Miranda I'll be reminded of that fact every time I look at her.

Nobody knows who he really is and where is his base. He has a lot of enemies, even the destroyer of the Reapers, commander Shepard, is after him - more, Shepard will possibly kow the location of the starship he is on. And what will he do?
Riiight, tell his pet asari spectre to grab the disc with the information about the base and ran to daddy, not relocating anything and even not trying to destroy the compromising data. Please, don't make the situation when Miranda knows where TIM is and he's suddenly found there - LotSB hurt my brain enough.
