Exactly. Its not like everyone fell in love with Mordin. I don't trust Salarians, all the probing they did in the mid to late 20th Century on Earth. Shameful. :P

Vega seems to be hated by almost everyone from what I can gather from several forums and gaming "news" site.

What a weird squadmate.

I'm starting to find him rather endearing just because of all the bashing. Poor guy.

How shallow can some people get? Frickin' internet.
Moreover, have they no faith in Bio? Do people actually expect the makers of the many characters we know and love to give us a shallow, flat character with cringetastic dudebro dialogue?

I'm not asking you to blindly love Jimmy V, but how about adopting a wait-and-see policy until we get more info on his character than, lessee, absolutely none? It can't hurt.

That's what bothers me the most. I had a really good friend once, he was a really big buff dude with a mohawk, played football in highschool. We've been out of contact for a while but Vega looks almost just like him. He wasn't a rocket scientist genius, or a huge philosopher or something, but he was a really great guy and a really great friend. After reading these forums for a bit, I can't help but wonder how many people have written him off as a thick-headed dudebro and not even given him a chance.

I realize it's different of course, because Vega's a Mass Effect squadmate, and he kind of has a standard to live up to, but some of the things that have been said are unfair and ugly.

I personally think Vega looks wicked and I'm looking forward to learning more about him in game.

The fun part is, lots of these people are all "Don't give us these shallow characters, Bioware! We are very smart people who want to analyze things in depth and WE WILL NOT TOLERATE INSULTS TO OUR INTELLIGENCE *srsface*"
And yet, what are they doing? Writing off a character because of his looks, and nothing else.

I don't hate him.
I don't have enough information about him to make any sort of decision about him aside from the one picture.

Indeed. I agree. This forum bashed Jack up the fvcking wall when she was first revealed, and now she has a giant fan base. People just like being opinionated I guess. What gets me though is how people state their opinion as fact. So many people on this forum are convinced that they've already played ME3, it's kinda sad.

Tricia Helfer says on twitter:

Off to play EDI in #MassEffect3 today. Might get to finally work with @SethGreen for a little bit too, instead of always solo in the booth.

That's exciting! If they do get to actually work together I imagine it will ultimately add to the character's in-game performance. I hope the Bioware people bring some video cameras, that would be fun to watch :)

This week is definitely a big week for VO work, I wonder who else is going

We know Seth Greene (Joker), Tricia Helfer (EDI), and Courtenay Taylor(Jack) (although when, we don't know)

Absolutely!!
I thank you in behalf of all "thick-skull, brain-dead, muscle-bound, dudebro" out there. It’s funny how by looking at a picture of a muscled up dude many people assume all of those things and make us into a stereotype. Just because we like to spend time in the gym and work on our bodies, it doesn’t make us so.
Must people I’ve met at the gym in the weight room are very smart and have successful careers (myself included Posted Image). I’m sure Jimmy V will do just fine.

Has anyone ever asked Casey Hudson why they are forcing Cerberus on us this extremely?

I am quite happy that I am finally allowed to kill them all in ME3 but I am fed up with Cerberus.
