I think all the bashing is because none of us have forgiven BioWare for Jacob.

Jacob was one of my favorite characters. He wasn't crazy and he dealt with is own problems. Kelly may have been ships counselor but that didn't stop to crew from whining to Shepard about everything. Jacob's biggest problem was the same problem Kaidan had. He was human and a male. Alien characters can abandon their kid after their wife dies and have huge fanbases <_<

I liked the guy, apart from one phrase..

The whole "Already? I don't like to rush these things Commander" or something line, when you decide to talk to him before he has something new to say. Killed him as a character for me, especially when talking to squadmates is a key attraction of the game

Nobody was a bad as Garrus. Even romanced he says very little besides "Can it wait a minute, I'm in the middle of some calibrations." I think Zaeed and Kasumi had more lines that Garrus.

I didn't mind the idea of a character (like Garrus) being too busy, but Jacob makes it sound like you're making a move on him, or being too touchy feely, and it just grates on me everytime

This. It's like talking to you is a chore for him. He starts off the rejection with "Already?"!

Oh, and another thing. Can someone ask Casey or Mac or whoever on how Mass Effect 3's dialogue stacks up against Mass Effect 1 and 2?

Seeing as quite a few people are worried it will be more shooting less talking/interaction etc etc.

Nothing we don't know already, but posted it nonetheless.

If there's going to be more of a focus on the RPG element, I'd assume there'd be just as much interaction as before.

This. I think the sheer concept of the omniblade is goofy as all hell, not to mention utterly unadapt for the Soldier class, but that looks schweet.

I was thinking they look a bit sharp. You'd probably get arrested for carrying a weapon in the UK
