So, then I could RP that no one but Garrus and Tali are loyal to Shepard until AFTER the SM and have the decisions on those loyalty missions still transer? That sounds fantastic....

If you want everyone to survive you'll still need the loyalty of jack/samara/morinth

Not a problem... I don't mind people dying... makes the SM feel like an actual almost impossible mission. If it was soooo bad, people would die. I don't care how amazing shepard is at leading.

Course, I almost always recruit Morinth so... if I needed to save everyone... there we go. lol

What they could've done during the sm instead of making it dependent on their loyalty they could've done a random dice roll or else they could've done it based off how many times you took so and so into battle and made them do their jobs so once you send so and so to do their task they fail on the job because it's their fault not shep having to be commander idiot.

For instance based off history we know Miranda led a small mission but has primarily made her living at doing desk type paper pushing jobs, So sending her to lead 2nd team could work be we also know she overestimates herself she thinks she's uber perfect so say that confidence proves wrong she sends a few of her team to their deaths and dies at the door.

I really don't want to have to be the most incapable leader to walk the earth in order to fail 3. In Silent Hill it was easy to get the bad ending in order to get the good ending you need to do more work you needed to save the cop and get a special item hidden a cross the town neither of these tasks had road maps to them or hints given about them you either had to stumble on them during your travel and not decide to drop them or you needed to use a walkthrough to obtain them. The items were also very nondescript they didn't say I could use this strange vile of liquid later or anything.

Maybe to win 3 right we need to find hidden beacons throughout 3 and use them and with that we gain new wheel options that allow us to employ tactics the protheans used that worked to defeat the reaper armies but you can only find these beacons truly exploring and going off the beaten path on both planet side on uncharted worlds and level wise in side missions. Also the matriarch writings, finding all those prothean data caches in ME could all factor into making a 100% perfect ending game scenario.

Say you got all those disks in ME, and you found all the hidden prothean beacons in ME3, but you didn't do the writings, combo that with you helped the geth/Quarians turn up positive, you goth the genophage cured, and you allied all the council and friendly non council races together but you still get a bittersweet ending because you didn't get the writings from ME done.

Hopefully that means it's explorable this time around.

I not only want a large explorable citadel but more things to do and people that actually move! I'd like as the game progresses for us to be able to get whole new large scale neighborhoods that can continue to be explored during game and we get even more unique things to do like maybe in one location we can do underground sky car races or something.

Leaving your squadmates' lives to chance might seem like a compelling gameplay mechanic, but all it would do is lead to constant reloading (of saves) until the desired outcome is achieved.  No thanks.

But those who reload will always do so they reload when their shep isn't perfect, they reload when shep says something stupid, I'm sure they reloaded the SM in 2 so they could avoid sending so and so to the door that got them killed just to make sure character X they hate went instead, reloaders will be reloaders but for those of us who won't reload regardless of how stupid shep sounds, looks, or mistakes made it would be a way to go and make the world more realistic.

So we should only be able to get "the good ending" if we have collected all the matriarch writings or discs from ME1?  Don't see that happening, is that a joke?  I mean just think about that for a sec.

"Excited to get back to work tomorrow, see all the new stuff done, and start wrapping up all the player classes so we can start balancing"

So it seem's that all they wanted to add to player classes is pretty much finished

They already are 'batish' like if you think about it. They're face is like an earless bat with an extra set of eyes. They got the creepy, squished nose and wrinkly face. Creepy sharp teeth stuff going too. So, design wise... probably still damn close. Oh so glad they went with Geth.

I brought that up a while back. Make loyalty increase odds of survival, not guarantee it.

Most people just said they liked being able to secure the outcome they wanted without constantly reloading a save, thank you very much.

David Silverman is giving out X-Box 360 codes for a Normandy prop for your Live Avatar.

http://twitter.com/#!/dsilvermanea

He is releasing two more at the end of (his) day.   Its the same prop as the ME3 CE buyers will be getting, so its nice to either get it really early or even get the prop if you dont intend to get CE.

:)

I don't agree with this because I did the extra work to make sure the majority of my team got over their personal issues so they could live to see ME3. If they still died after that I would not be a happy space camper.

Um, no. Or at least, not necessarily.  Casey's not saying the original enemies (batarians) were called "geth" and/or had the same general backstory.  He's saying that in the initial story drafts they filled the same role: they were Saren's army and what players would get to shoot the most.  Now, it's entirely possible the batarians really did have a backstory as a slave race of the quarians, but Casey's statement just doesn't address that one way or the other.
