"Added a new power to the Infiltrator class today that is just too much fun. I cackle using it. Huge improvement over the idea we had before"

My newly-created Diana Shepard is gonna be mighty pleased. ^_^

For example when you meet the VS on Horizon, I nearly facepalmed myself when all the options didn't allow me to explain that I wasn't working for Cerberus or TIM. Cerberus was working for ME. If anything, the choices didn't allow me to express that this is NOT an alliance but more of an uneasy truce.

That exact option does exist during the horizon conversation with the VS.

ooh I hope we get a Rorschach's Journal style Shepard voice over at some point...

Reaper carcass on battlefield this morning, Mako tread on burst stomach. This planet is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The valleys are
extended gutters and the gutters are full of bodily fluids and when they
finally scab over, all the invaders will drown. The accumulated filth of
all their abducting and slaughter will foam up about their thoraxes and all the
Consorts and Ambassadors will look up and shout "Save us!"... and I'll choose the Renegade interrupt.

Hmm I'm not normally a doomsayer on this forum, but I (and many others) didn't really feel like what they had in ME2 really accomodated my lack of allegiance to Cerberus ideals. It is hard to match up allowing your Shepard to constantly criticise (and remark on how evil they are) Cerberus, but then make no efforts to do anything but work with them

Hence it seems far from a foregone conclusion (especiallly from this remark) that the accomodation for Cerberus fanboys in ME3 will be sufficient. Fingers crossed though

I made it pretty clear that I was working with them and not for them.  In fact, I made it pretty clear I was against them.

-Gave Veetor to the Quarians
-Sent Cerberu data to the Alliance
-Gave Jack free reign with Cerberus files
-Released Grunt against TIM's wishes
-Reactivated Legion against TIM's wishes
-Brought up all the damage I caused to Cerberus' Military dvision
-Gave TIM a piece of my mind multiple times
-Shut down Overlord and send David to the Grissom Academy
-Destroyed the Collector Base against TIM's wishes

Did I work for them?  Hell no  .Did I work with them?  Only to the extent that it allowed me to succeed in my mission and I'm hoping that I lured some allies away from Cerberus in the process.

But in terms of the wide scope of roleplay people are hoping from ME3, in terms of choosing to replace the Illusive Man, or to support him, or to wipe ou Cerberu it doesn't set a good precedent

I took most of those actions too (maybe even all of them) but for me it stil didn't seem a satisfying depiction. It smacks of Shepard acting out when you think you'd just de-activate the Illusive Man's comms, take up your role as a Spectre, offer Miranda and Jacob a shuttle out of there if they don't like it and get your Cerberus logos removed; if you really feel like Cerberus is bad news then don't take up the Illusive Man's line that you need him

The Alliance were watching the situation, and the only reason Anderson won't directly help you is your Cerberus links

I understand that they wanted to put forward a storyline their way, and through loyalty missions and romances we were given some chance to make it our own. But that doesn't store up much confidence points for those who want to be able to dictate a lot of the storyline (aka what happens to Cerberus) in ME3

I reckon there will be more open roleplay as it is the last of the series, but the comparison to ME2 is hardly a confirmation of openness

''@CaseyDHudson Will Shepards background have any real significance in ME3? Will we finally put a face to Spacer Sheps mum? ect.''

Hopefully Casey was the correct one to ask.

I think the short answer for that is "yes", because it was answered not long ago, if I'm not mistaken.

Yay!

Although I wish someone told me that before, instead of just telling me to make a twitter account to ask. Well I suppose I can ask more questions now, that've likely all been answered before too Posted Image

That would have required me:

a. knowing the question had already been asked.
b. not thinking it was worth having the account otherwise.

I'm not really complaining, I suppose I can use it if other questions pop in my mind. there has been a few I wanted to ask.

What is wrong with vanilla?

Some people like vanilla, just like some people like strawberry or chocolate. Then of course there are the people that like a mix of two. Course the ones whom like all three are just greedy and never will be accounted for.

Before you respond, yes I kind of know what you are meaning, but I figured I would use the other variant of the phrase to distinguish the different classes ;)

Basically put, if you were to look at the alleged top three...

People either like Vanilla on it's own or Vanilla with either Chocolate or Strawberry :wizard:

I can't believe this MP crap keeps creeping up in this thread. It's been confirmed by Casey Hudsun himself that there is NOT going to be a MP option in ME3. I'm reposting Vertigo_1's post from over a week ago and hopefully get on with the main theme of thir tread.

"@biofeed @EA @masseffect Tune into GTTV tonight on Spike for the latest on Mass Effect 3 with @caseydhudson" www.gametrailers.com/video/episode-415-gt-tv/718006

Probably a generic interview as with other Comic Con interviews

Yea, don't expect anything interesting :(

OK I missed most of the episode but tuned in to hear this bit of info:

"Will there be multiplayer in ME3?"

"We looked at multiplayer for the Mass Effect series since the very beginning, but could not find a way to implement it without compromising the single player story...Mass Effect is very much about the story"

So there's your confirmation of MP in ME3; It's not happening

Go check the Gametrailers interview where Casey Hudson's quote comes from. If  this doesn't sounds like definitive, I don't know what will.
