Yuri does a LOT of voice-work, it could just be a random NPC or similar (but he has a very distinctive voice). But hopefully it is someone cool like Feron.

Audiomachine or Two Steps From Hell. At least those are that my guts are telling me. I'm 100% that I've heard it before, but then again, I listened to so many themes from those two that I don't know which one it is.

I see, very nice. Apparently their music is used for trailers a lot. I'm assuming the ME2 launch trailer was by them too?

Too bad the rest of the ME2 soundtrack doesn't have the same overall sound. ME themes with this kind of sound would be awesome.

Can anyone ask if there will be a defense ability toggle? They had one in ME1 then decided to take it out in ME2 for some god unknown reason.

Too many times have I needed to use Jacobs pull field on those god damn husks for the IFF mission, only to learn that I have to wait 12 seconds because he used Barrier and his shields have already dropped.

Fix it.

Unfortunately, yes.  For some reason, the squad toggle in ME2 doesn't include Barrier, Fortification, and GSB.

Unfortunately, yes.  For some reason, the squad toggle in ME2 doesn't include Barrier, Fortification, and GSB.


I guess I never ran into this problem because if I wanted Pull I used Samara, if I was with Grunt I wanted him to have Fortification active (often did it myself), and Legion never had GSB until the Collector Base (and I don't use him there) because I do his loyalty mission last.

You're lucky you don't use Jacob then. He is a good character, until you complete his loyalty mission. Then all he uses is his damn barrier. I just think it's a little...contradicting they got rid of the option to turn of squaddies using abilities entirely considering it was in the first game. It's only those people who have defensive abilities (Jacob, Grunt, probably Legion..I never get the chance to use him) that this problem happens.

Assuming each power needs 21 points to max, this means you can max 8 powers :blink:

You can get around the Barrier problem by using Lair of the Shadow Broker and removing all points from it.  It's not the best solution, but it's the only option we have at this point.

Yeah, I've had to do that in the past. It just seems a little dumb that that is the only solution - and a DLC only solution. Sadly, for those people who don't have LotSB they just have to deal..

Maxing 8/9 powers makes no sense to me either.

My bet is on 120 points in total, but then they may want to go with more. With ME2 you could max 5 powers with 1 point left over (from bonus power). I doubt they'll keep the same point progression though as by 21-30 it was all 1 point and that wouldn't exactly leave much room for anything else.

Now that was with 6 base powers, +1 bonus, so 7 total. Anyways, point being, I could see them wanting it to end around 5-6 'max' to keep in line with that. Plus 1 extra due to Bonus power (at least). So 120 kinda fits that if you do 3 per 1-20, 2 per 21-40, and 1 per 41-60. Considering you have to basically import to hit 60 (or start a new) I'd imagine there going to follow something close to that to ensure you can get a good chunk of stuff on a fresh play through.

Hell they may start with 4 per lvl for the first 10 or something. Either way im hoping for about 120-130-ish.
