Dear lord, if they auto level our imported characters this whole social network would go BERSERK!

It goes BERSERK every single day.

Haha a fair point.

They would go berserk relative to the usual berserker rage that is prevalent on the BSN.  And I don't think anyone wants to stick around for THAT...

I know what you meant, just being difficult.
And if that happens, I might actually leave here...

Nope, not even that could make me leave. I swear, this place indoctrinates you...

OCD should NOT be rewarded. You get your useless virtual merit badge for doing dumb crap like that, and that's enough. There's no need to punish all of the sane people out there who don't want to waste 20 hours of their life tediously looking for mineral deposits, time much better spent playing the ACTUAL game.

Don't punish me by holding back content because I don't have mental health issues. The only thing the fetch quests should net you in ME3 is an E-Mail from Hackett reminding you that the Reaper threat is imminent and begging you not to waste precious time on frivolous fetch quests like you did during the Saren incident.

You got a lot of heat from this post, but I agree with it completely. Time wasters like that should not be in the game.

So doing side quests in the game is not playing the game? I'm confused.

There are always going to be those few people who, despite all the evidence in front of their faces, will have a different interpretation because the most obvious explanation isn't 100% confirmed (aka spoonfed).

Good to see this "confirmed"(it was out there, in the sun). So many people shutting up after reading this, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

I'm not sure why you are focusing on a small part of what was written. However in short, no, they are not part of the core gameplay. However even then you are missing the real point that was made, it's clearly stated that there should not be a reward (and inversely a punishment) for completeing a number of time consuming fetch-quests.

I read that as "Sweet Christmas" for some reason. Now I kinda want Vega to talk like Luke Cage/Power Man from the 80's.

Shepard: And this James Vega, on loan to us from the Alliance.
Vega: What's goin' on, Jive Turkeys?
Garrus: I don't even...
Ashley: If he grabs my a** again there isn't going to be enough of him left to turn into a cyborg.

There was confusion on this point? I'm not being snarky; I just honestly thought that this was fairly obvious. It's implied with all the subtlety of a Micheal Moore film.

A lot of people didn't like that idea, so they came up with all sorts of rationalizations for why it wasn't necessarily so.  Usually, they amounted to "I think it was just a coincidence."

Ditto.... does make you wonder a bit if that plotpoint will have any effect on how Shepard can defeat the Reapers in ME3.

It also shows that Sovereign may not have had much energy left if that's all it took to bring it down.
