Jack - pretty clear in ME2 when she tells femshep she's not part of the girls club
Ashley - probably to religious/xenophobic to be open minded enough for f/f
Miranda - Maybe, but LotSB logs show she's trying to get pregnant so slight stretch
Liara - Already bi
Samara - Not an option before, but as an asari, assume she's bi
Tali - Didn't confess in ME2, but hasn't otherwise shown to be strictly straight (and already fine with experimentigng with humans)
Kaiden - Not as fresh in my mind, but while he wasn't an option in ME1, that might just be because male shep never tried to get with him
Garrus - would make the most sense to me. Wasn't interested in femshep till she flirted with him, and he didn't know how to react at first. I'd be fine with it if it's male shep initiated rather than garrus being flirtatious
Thane - Doesn't make as much sense to me, but again, he's not explicitly straight.
Jacob - Seemed uneasy when my male shep spoke to him too often, but again could be fine if it's written properly
Mordin - Not really interested in relationships (too bad, he's so awesome)
Legion - Same as above
Grunt/Wrex - Gross... but fine i guess (Gross not because of SS, but just..... eww)
Kasumi - If she gets over her former boo, perhaps
Zaeed - No hints at his sexual orientation thus far
Conclusion: Only Jack, Mordin, and Legion have made it clear in the first 2 games that they would not go gay (the last two because they just aren't romancable for anyone)
Therefore I don't understand how people can say that the characters are compromised if they all of a sudden are romancable. Very few of them are explicitly straight, and any of them, if well written, could believably be gay

I like it how whenever BW announces something someone doesn't like, it's "pandering," but when they announce something someone likes, it's "listening to the fans."
Yeah, I am guilty of this, too.
So am I. :lol:And I totally siggy'd that.

Great. After ruining my LI (Liara) in ME2, now they're going to ruin my bro (Garrus) in ME3.
Shepard: Hey Garrus!
Garrus: Hey bro! Want sex?
Shepard: Huh?
Garrus: I always wanted sex with you I just never said it before in over 60 hours of gameplay.
Shepard: WTF man? Is this a joke?
Garrus: No, I'm serious.
Shepard: No, Garrus, I don't want sex with you.
Garrus: Then I am not talking to you anymore, ever. Goodbye.

...I really, really hope this won't be the case.
Chances are low that they will, however. Yes, I refuse to fall to pessimism!

They ruined Liara? I thought they did 150% better at her character in ME2.

Well, good for you I guess, but you can't deny that her character changed dramatically. I support character development, but I find it more convincing when it's subtle changes, like the ones Garrus and Tali went through.

Garrus: Please?
Shepard: Er, okay, sure. It never happened.
Garrus: Why is your eye twitching?

Thanks I think it's an good title.
Its obvious Bioware are trying to pander to everyone now and look what happened with DA2. I know ME3 is going the same route and they are going to make existing characters suddenly get the hots for Shep, it's pretty obvious Kaidan, Ashley, Tali, Garrus and others aren't gay but expect them to jump into the sack with either gender come release of ME3.
David Gaiders explanations for a new direction in DA2 has shown Biowares new view on development under EA is forget characterisation and also story as long as we cater to everyone.
I agree. I don't like where Bioware is going. I'm buying the game because it's the last in the series but after this I won't buy any other Bioware games. They should learn from the fiascal of DA2, but they won't. I only like dark haired straight guys. Are they going to cater to me? Don't think so.
They are already catering to you. You can already be a dark haired dude who only romances girls, or a girl who only romances dark haired straight guys if that's what you meant. They did not exclude you, they just included other people. Rejoice, for you're still represented!!!

Yeah...
And while we're at it, let's have Wrex say, "I always secretly loved Turians".
And Ashley say, "I don't really believe in God, I just made that up."
And Liara say "I'm not really a paragon, I'm a renegade!" Oh, wait...
