Glad only the new LI's are gay/bisexual (not counting Kelly).

Plus Shepard, which is a pretty big inconsistency with the other two third of the story.
Whoops, but who cares?
One thing for sure, I cancelled my cousin's pre-order (keeping mine of course).
Shepard is kind of a paragon for him.
I won't encourage the little fella to be a gay like this.

If you played the previous two games as a male Shep, and did not romance any of the female LIs or engage in any 'hetrosexual behaviour',  I fail to see how that is an inconsistency.  It's possible to play the first 2 games without having an overtly straight male Shepard, therefore being gay in the 3rd would not be an inconsitency.

I guess it can work as an incentive for some people to replay ME2 when they know which characters are changed, so they can 'rig' their SM with it in mind... :innocent:

Right im not one of the same sex supporters but that is really offensive and mean everyone should have the right to romance the way they want to im just hoping they keep it away from certin characters such as -garrus-reason signs show no ******-thane-was madley in love with his wife-grunt-do i need to explain?

Depending on where you come from, I would wager. There are certain parts in the world where I would wager it would be considered offensive to not act like him. Different cultures, different opinions. :bandit::bandit:

Just because it's a different culture doesn't mean I can't disagree with or find it offensive - as long as I understand it.

That much is true. You can claim that you personally find the opinion against it offensive, just as much as another person can claim that he/she personally finds same sex offensive.

It's the generic claims of it being generically offensive to have a specific opinion on the topic I find issue with.

Actually female Shepard can be bi in ME2 (with Kelly).

Anyway, being bisexual will be an in-game choice, not something you're forced to do, so I have no problem with it. In fact it broadens the player's roleplaying options.

How is Shepard supposed to be straight? When is it stated?
Bunch of idiots. Just because you can't have any gay relationships, that makes you heterosexual?

Use your little homophobe brain: if a certain Shepard engages in no opposite-sex relationships or sexual acts, how is "because this Shepard is gay" not a valid explanation for such behaviour? Come on, I want to see you give me a coherent answer.

This is a good point- it never explicitly states Shepard's sexuality in ME1 or 2, so a lot of players could roleplay a gay character in both games without the game contradicting them.

Oh look someone stating that their preconceptions about a character are more valid than someone elses preconceptions about the character. Like a circlejerk of irreconcilable opinions.

So I think I've figured out what Casey means by "not necessarily true" he basically meant lets plant the idea that returning characters could be bisexual then see what the reaction is and act accordingly

I don't quite understand what you mean. How is my opinion a preconception?

I'm not saying that if a certain Shepard doesn't have any hetero relationships then s/he's certainly gay.

I'm saying that both ME1 and ME2 allow the player to roleplay a gay character without any of the in-game material contradicting this choice. I think that's pretty objective.

Is this really the place to have a conversation about s/s romances? I suggest we try to stay on the topic of twitter/Casey Hudson otherwise this thread will just go downhill into a s/s argument in which the mods will have to intervene. So I suggest we get away from this strong-opinion topic and focus.

So the PC Gamer article was completely full of #?&¤% (no new LIs)? No wonder considering how many mistakes they had in there. Well, this makes me happy. Could then also play a new Shepard with no LIs in #1 & #2 to explore new options in #3.

Good list.  I'm especially curious about the modding.
