"What is your favorite mission from either ME1 or ME2?"

For me it was:
ME1: Virmire (except the part where you chose between Kaidan and Ashley)
ME2: Suicide Mission hands down

ME1: Virmire & Battle of the Citadel (Sovereign just casually flying through a ship without even a scratch was just ... badass)
ME2: LotSB and SM (SM is still epic even six playthroughs later)

ME1: Ilos. Breathtaking.
ME2: Tie between Tali's loyalty mission (fascinated by quarian culture) and the Suicide Mission.

ME1: Virmire, because I got to blow up Ashley
ME2: Suicide Mission or the car chase in the middle of LoTSB.

My favourite ME1 mission was actually when we first arrive on the Citadel, I remember when I first interacted with the various aliens and got to actually see the huge depth there is in this game. Still one of the most memorable moments in gaming for me, this is when I knew I would love this series.

ME2: Samara's loyalty, it was refreshing not needing to shoot anyone for a change and to actually interact with people, the fact there were several ways to complete the mission made it even more satisfying.

Bringing this up here as well because Casey Hudson's tweet had the link to it.

Legendary has updated their movie Q&A panel with more accurate answers, apparently.

http://www.legendary...tions-answered/

MASS EFFECT
Q:  Will it just be an adaptation of the first game, second game, or a completely new story?
A:  It will focus on Commander Shepard's journey, centering around the story of the original Mass Effect game.
Q:  How are you going to address the element of 'choice' that the players have in the game?
A:  The writer is weaving a path through Shepard's decisions
that best supports the narrative of the movie and the motivations of its
characters.
Q:  Will it be a trilogy?
A:  We are really focused on making this a great movie, so we'll see
where it takes us.  We have to get the first one right to know whether
there will be more.
Q:  Will Seth Green portray Joker, the character he voiced in the game?
A:  No casting decisions have been made yet.
Q:  Will the movie be focused on Shepard?
A:  Yes.
Q:  If the movie is focused on Shepard, will it be the male Shepard or the female Shepard?
A:  Male.
Q:  Can you give any hints to potential casting?
A:  No.  Stay tuned.
Q:  Will BioWare allow plot / character changes?
A:  Yes, we are working closely with BioWare on the development of this project.
Q:  Would you consider Daft Punk to do the soundtrack?
A:  We love Daft Punk, but it's too early to say who will produce the soundtrack.

Many are the same answers as before but a few are different. The first in particular is vastly different.

I really, really hope they get this movie right. I don't care how closely they follow the original story as long as it's a great movie on its own.

I would love to see it. (Who's directing this again? Did I miss that?)

Yes! I loved going around and seeing all of the aliens for the first time, and then reading about them in the codex. I remember being really surprised when I read that those female aliens standing everywhere were an all female species, and then started listing off all of the species who would eventually join my squad (by looking at the outlines on the squad page). I wondered for ages what the final one was (Tali) until she joined.

Unfortuantely, there were no quests or parts in ME2 that felt the same. I really enjoyed Tali's loyalty mission though, since it was one of the few times where it really felt that the story was more important than the combat, and it had lengthy dialogue/cutsecene segments. Being able to see the culture I read about in Ascension also helped :)

Also, they've now spelled 'Shepard' correctly.

Another tweet for Mr.Hudson saying that squadmembers are not "permanent". Not sure if we should read too much into it but I fear that every single squad member is going to be temporar, Liara style. :(

“@Honor16: @CaseyDHudson Will we have anymore PERMANENT squad members?" In the galactic war of #ME3, nothing can be assumed permanent.

Yeah, posted 3 hours ago^

He said the something similar in an interview a few days ago (something about having permanent squadmates in ME3 being a betrayal to the galactic war setting)

I'm beginning to think that they're going to kill off the ME1 squaddies now. Gonna see Garrus driving a space car into a space refinery. "Never thought it would end like this huh?!? Huh shepard?!?"
That would be very unfortunate. Also props to anyone who gets the reference. :P I won't spoil where it's from.
