On one hand it's less story, on the other it's better potential pacing. So I suppose I don't mind this, as long as we learn how well they were going. Imagine on launch day, you're excited as hell, you pop in the game you've been waiting for and suddenly. . . politics for half an hour.

You make it sound like more story is a bad thing....

Remember, the intro to ME2 also had fast pacing, and we all know how that one turned out!

As others have said, the pacing would be a nightmare.  And knowing Bioware intros, it would be unskippable.

I still expect it to be longer than "2 sentences" and that it will include choices generator and recap of events (in some form/way) if you didn't play previous games or DLC.

Oh yeah, I think it will be longer than two sentences. I certainly hope so! I'm just commenting on the people who heard the news last week or so that it was a lengthy investigation and somehow seemed to deduce we'd see most or all of that.

I'm hoping it's around 10-15 minutes long, including some very eerie camera angles showcasing the Alliance fleet in orbit and whatnot.

Casey Hudson in the game informer said the game will start out with showing a bunch of Earths cities.
