Well, there was that freaky elevator ride in Overlord..

Man Overlord is such an emotional and really balanced DLC. I forgot about that friggin' elevator gone haywire. That elevator is bad news from the get go. Plus it has Loghain in it Image IPB

He kind of debunks the idea that developers don't listen to their fans. So far Bioware seems to be fulfilling a lot of the fanbases wishes. I really can't wait for this game. :)

Same here. BioWare is awesome for listening to their fans like this. It's so good to see! :wizard:

E3 is going to be great this year.

Though yes, the game does not come out for eight months. E3 should give us some information to comb for at least 2 to 3 weeks.

I think a lot of game devs listen to their fan base, it's just that the fan base can't distinguish listening from capitulating.

I read that in Mordin's voice. The "Need assistance" line made me think of his fast talking for some reason.

Calling it now, that is a line from him.

I know. And leaving the site for a time until things cool down isn't really an option I'm willing to entertain, because then I'll miss all the cutting-edge positive discussions. :(

I am wondering, what with the original composer not being involved,  if we will hear the "mass effect" theme music in ME 3.

Negotiating copyright laws is a little like getting drunk and then suffling through a minefield blind folded.

I have no doubt that the new composer will have some awesome music though.  It is, after all, the same guy that composed for requiem for a dream.

Not a big fan of that film's OST apart from a few tracks, but I do dig the OSTs for The Moon and The Fountain. (Although I don't care much for The Fountain as a film.) I also enjoyed his backup work for Trent Reznor's The Fragile back in 1999.

At any rate, I wouldn't worry about navigating any minefields. Something tells me BioWare would have the bases covered in this matter. The reveal trailer had the main theme from ME1 playing at its end, also, although that debuted before it was announced that Mansell would be taking over musical duties so I suppose that stands to be said.

Clint Mansell does a really a good job at adapting to a movie's universe with his soundtracks.

I'll definitely give you that. I just find some of Requiem's tracks hard to listen to on my iPod while en route to work, but I suppose that really shouldn't be the end-all be-all judge of how good something is. It worked for the film. It doesn't necessarily have to work for biking.

Oh, and I'm not one of those people who thinks machinery sounds and the like can't work in song, in case you thought that maybe I was. My love for NIN should speak for itself. :P
