I'm eating my words when I was arguing with you they will "definitely" show something major new on Comic-Con/Gamescom/PAX/EuroGamer/GameFest/TGS so yeah, I'm  done expecting anything at this point till December and VGAs...

Honestly, I reckon they will ramp things up around December and beyond, EA has to worry about pushing TOR out the door (and Battlefield 3) whereas ME3 has a 2012 release date. It's annoying, sure, especially when we run out of things to talk about, but they're a busy company. I'll take little to know information over too much any day.

if you have origin, try out BF3 beta which is avaiable for everyone

Even so, I wouldn't say no to more screenshots and gameplay information.  I don't want story or character details spoiled, but I don't mind learning more about the combat mechanics.

Perhaps there's a happy medium between giving the entire game away, and acting like the anouncement of default femsheps hair color is a big deal, maybe?

I don't need every detail on the characters and plot and I don't want that. However...I've seen Sur'kesh enough times to not care if it gets cut from the final game. If I've got to wait for industry events for news that I actually care about then I may as well stick to IGN.

Well said. This is actually the point I was trying to make. It's not necessarily a bad thing but it gets old rather quick.
