How does Casey know what people "fear" about multiplayer? It´s like he´s saying "don´t worry it won´t require a monthly fee", well what a relief. Some people simply don´t want multiplayer at all, because they are not going to use it. Resources dedicated to multiplayer means resources dedicated to content they´re not gonnna use. I don´t like this sudden turn of events, i started buying the mass effect games as a single player rpg trilogy, if i wanted to play multiplayer i would have bought a game about that in the first place!

Bioware could have made a new game after ME3, based on the engine they just did, all about multiplayer so every player can choose what they want to play. I am quite disappointed and if Origin proves to me mandatory too, it may as well be the last game i buy from bioware.

I actually asked him the same question as schnellehope ^^

But who knows what those co-op missions entail?

3 BioWare employees have already attempted to calm our fears. It's pretty much guaranteed that they've seen the internet explode over this. Let's hope they've got alot of faith in their multiplayer team.

I don't see the difference between this and dedicating resources to a character class I don't really use. Or dedicating resources to same-sex romances, which I have no interest in doing.

I bet the actual battle for Earth takes place in the co-op. The main story is about Shepard finding a way to stop the Reapers whilst fighting them galaxy -wide, eventually aiming to form an army to take back Earth. The actual battle for Earth will be ongoing and we'll see part of it in the co-op. Calling it now.

I don't think so. They know people would be pissed about that. You'll have the option of playing it single player, as before, and the option of going co-op with it.  

It would SUCK if we had to do MP for the battle of Earth... it just seems like it would ****** too many people off for BioWare to have actually done it

I'm not cancelling my pre-order, I'm kind of significantly less excited about ME3. I hope the devs are right about this....and not in the way the DA2 devs thought they were right about their shiny, new game.

I won't be checking these boards nearly as obsessively as I used to.

Agreed completely. Why they couldn't wait to put it in a subsequent spinoff is beyond me. But I'm guessing EA cares not.

I see that as a hint that its separate. If it was integrated into the single player, he wouldve said Co-Op feature.

I don't have a strong opinion on co-op one way or the other since I don't play multiplayer but I was really looking forward to finally seeing the Vanguard, and another class I believe, info they had us all excited for last week. With this I bet it's going to be forever before they get around to showing it.
