They're still secret, that's why they're called secret features.

@JeffZero: This is why I refuse to plug in my headset unless I'm playing with friends.
Not a bad rule to live by. I think I'll take your advice.
It's never failed me before.
I have no problems with no mod tools. While multiplayer is at least debatable, creating a full toolset would be an undeniable misuse of resources. The fans will figure it out eventually. A dedicated toolset would be cool if released after the main game, but I honestly don't see why it should be included in the main package. I actually want to play the game before I tear it apart.
EDIT: @aridor: that's why there are four question marks after it. We know they exist. It's kind of natural to be curious as to what they are.

Damn it. Goodbye large DLCs that focus on expanding the SP. Hello DLCs that focus on maps and modes.

Oh crap. I hadn't even thought of that yet...
The idea of multi-player just keeps getting worse.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I feel.AngusJimiKeith wrote...
Here's the thing about multiplayer: It won't be Mass Effect. It might be in the universe of ME, and it might have the weapons of ME, but it won't play like ME. I can't see implementing Mass Effect-style role-playing in multiplayer, especially co-op. Decision making and morality? Can't do it. classes as-is? Can't do them (charge? nope. adrenaline rush? nope. time dilation? nope.). The co-op will be a straight up shooter, regardless of how it is handled. Provided it doesn't affect the main game experience, I don't care if it's there. But don't pass it off as "Mass Effect as we know it." This was really something I would have liked to see in a spinoff rather than a trilogy game, because then it would be better "integrated," the mechanics of the game could be made to fit it better.
Multiplayer has to all be about the combat, which kind of defeats the purpose of playing this game for me.

Well, when Casey said they were aiming for the same length in ME3 as was in ME2...was he counting the Co-op missions?
I sure as hell hope not, of course.

That'd be a pretty stupid comparison, considering that ME2 didn't have any co-op missions.

Can we take that for granted anymore , though?

Considering we don't know what kind of multiplayer it is, I'm inclined to take him at his word. If they provide a horde/online deathmatch style, there is no gameplay length attached to it; it's too variable. For now, we're better off sticking to the original perception until we actually see what the magazine says.

Actually, Casey was just asking what kinds of DLC peoiple wanted.
What would you want most from a MassEffect3 DLC adventure? Places you want to go, things you want to experience, batlles you want to fight?

I don't mind the co-op option, but I'd like to also have the option of doing those missions solo.

It's not as stupid as it seems from this side. A friend told me Portal 2 was about 12 hours before I bought it. When I beat the campaign in 8, he had to clarify that he included campaign and co-op. To someone speaking offhandedly or even in an interview, it may not sound so bad.

It's coop. We just don't know whehter it's counted as "gamplay content" for how long a playthrough takes.
And like I said, at this point i'm fresh out of trust.

At worst there will be a mixture. I can see there being a co op based DLC should it prove popular enough, but there will still be at least two single player expanding DLCs for ME3, it sells well enough and they aren't daft enough to think they can market the game as a multiplayer game first and foremost. AC Brotherhood implemented multiplayer with a lot more fanfare and even that game had story DLC.

I hope he isn't counting coop missions. I won't be able to play them. Any online content that requires constant access to the internet is a no go for me.
If the coop missions are what is extending length.. Le sigh.

I hope too, because I'll not play coop mission. I don't like its presence, but I could have tried it. But I'm not going to spend money for the Live Gold fee.
