"Per my previous tweet. What would you want to see in this #ME3 feature?"

His previous tweet was a retweet of the confirmation of MP Co-op in ME3

I told him splitscreen. Co-op is useless if you need two consoles with seperate screens to run it.

I fully endorse this. Posted Image

"Lots of interest in character-oriented DLC. Note that for #MassEffect3 especially, DLC could take place in settings other than post-game."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are just more MP responses from Casey:

twitter.com/#!/CaseyDHudson/status/123624809962799104
"Tell me I won't have to play multiplayer #ME3 to achieve single player outcomes."

"Right - totally optional."

twitter.com/#!/CaseyDHudson/status/123627598529044480
"Does the MP have to do with the 4 month delay?”

"No, we needed the time to make sure #ME3 is the best of the series."

twitter.com/#!/CaseyDHudson/status/123628336105783296
"The multiplayer seems to avoid exactly what everyone was afraid of: ruining the core single player experience.”

"Well said."

Is he referring to MP specifically, or that it can also occur within the single-player campaign, prior to end-game?

Could be either or both, really.

Since he mentioned this in response to the interest in character-oriented DLC, the first thing I thought of was DLC involving people not currently in the squad like Wrex or whoever that takes place while Shep is off doing some other main story thing.

I actually sent him a tweet mentioning delving into various other major characters' arcs being something I'd love to see happen.

Great ideas.  First thing I imagined was something similar to Star Wars, where the camera would pan into the star-filled sky, with text saying "Meanwhile on Tuchanka, Wrex...." then swipe screen to a cutscene before we are controlling Wrex

I'm sure they can do better introductions to those types of DLC, but just sharing first thing that came to mind when hearing your ideas.

Ahh as much fun as exploring other characters can be I can honestly say I don't want anything that means I don't get to play the Shepard I've been playing. I'd prefer strong DLC to expand on that. This 'is' the last time we play Shepard, why waste it on other non-shepard related things? Leave that for other Mass Effect games to come.

Hell they could make 'Mass Effect: Wrex Chronicles' afterwords for all I'd care, hell that'd be fun. But I really want Shepard oriented stuff, like LotSB. Though I honestly would prefer an 'actual' post game thing for once. Everything they've done so far in both games can take place 'at any time'. Which kinda I dunno, just is a bit awkward I guess. I'd like some stuff to do 'after' that can't be done during.

That said I'd imagine most of the DLC will be the same kinda 'during or after'. Probably with most of it being conceptualized as during considering the whole galactic war and whatnot.

I'm not sure if this has been answered. Can the MP missions have the option be played by a single player? Meaning the player controls one character and the rest of the squad by AI.

It is remarkable how the multiplayer feature, or rather the idea of their being one, is almost unanimously hated by everyone.

This should be an indication to Bioware that even though it's thier game and they can design it how they want, maybe they should listen to the fans.

Also..............it does'nt help with a company's credibility when they fervently deny a feature (in this case multiplayer) is NOT GOING TO BE IN THE GAME and then a few months later say "Yes, its going to be in the game... oh but don't worry, its nothing to be afraid of"

Well why should we believe you that it's nothing to be afraid of?

As far as multliplayer being announced and in the game, i have no opinion of it yet.....  it has the potential to be a disaster though.

It only seems that way because it is early and everyone seems skeptical....come March, when the previews and reviews start coming in about how well it fits, people will secretly change their opinion while publicly attempting to hold to their stubborness.

And it was pretty obvious there was MP of some sort, and fervently is hardly the word to use for their address of the issue.

Okay, not wishing to argue over what adjectives I should use in my  post............. Bioware denied, on many ocasions, the pressence of multiplayer, and that "the team was dedicated to making the best single player experience ever."

Given all the information pertaining to the feature present in the multiplayer anouncenment thread, I would say they had known for quite a while, and that this was planned for sometime.

I find it ironic that they say (paraphrasing)  "Trust us, you will like it"  When they lied about multiplayer being in it.

Yea i know, they are the developer and they dont have to tell us anything and they can change thier mind.   I'm just reflecting on the iorny of someone telling me to trust them after they have been fibbing about something.

I have no opinion, as of yet, about multiplayer being in the game.

They're just asking for ideas. At least they're not like Epic Games who made all of their DLC beforehand, put it on the disc, and wants people to pay to unlock it. Considering that everything on the disc the consumer owns, that's just plain illegal.

Understood  ;)

And it's likely because of the very reactions they're getting now, but yes, they would've been better off just not addressing the topic what-so-ever.

I agree..... whenever a devoloper announces anything they need to do so carefully, lest they get all the screaming and raging.

After having read some of the features in the multiplayer anouncment thread..... i am...  skeptically rasing an eyebrow.  I'm not one to jump to conclusions or fly into a homicidal nerd rage.  But i am concerned.

The ideas are interesting sure....but I can see how it might be a disaster.  Also, they mention that it has no effect on the single player experience but that it "can".

Also the "Other ways of raising gallactic readiness" has me concerned as i have heard murmurs of speculation this might relate to a facebook game of sorts.

Portal 2 pulled off having single player and multiplayer........ maybe ME3 can do it too.

MAYBE

@DeltaPhoenix08: Does the MP have to do with the 4 month delay?” No, we needed the time to make sure #[/s]ME3 is the best of the series.

Is there 4 month delay right now? O.O Will it come in March or 3 months later, also in June?

No, the "4-month delay" refers to the original delay from Holiday 2011 to March 2012.

It'll be out in March, people just take things like "we are aiming for a 2011 release" and "no multiplayer has been confirmed yet" as some kind of blood oath by Bioware

Trusting is hard, but I'm going to go out on a limb here to say they are VERY aware of the apprehension of the whole idea(which while a lot of knee jerking involved, is still valid) and possible fallback if the idea just bombs as a whole. That explains why they put in the 'it can influence the SP, but the same effect can be achieved without it'.

I dunno if anyone agrees but I think this pretty much confirms there's gonna be a 'happy rainbow sunshine everyone survives(or almost everyone apart from a forced death or two) ending' if the GaW thing functions like I think it will. Will wait for more info...
