Remember people, this is not the multiplayer thread.
Incidentally, I only responded because I thought I was in the multiplayer thread.

Multiplayer does indeed effect single player.

As stated before, however, multiplayer remains separated from the single-player campaign. Neither Shepard nor key characters will be showing up in the co-op, and not participating in multiplayer won't negatively impact the main story in any way. In short, your actions in multiplayer can only bolster the single-player experience and will not detract from it.

My girlfriend and I both cancelled our ME3 preorders today. Waiting for a drop in price and detailed reviews. Also cancelling Star Wars: The Old Republic tomorrow.

Why don't you just link the post on this forum which that article used as a source? And the post which, by the way, that article provides a link to itself.

I got into the Mass Effect series for the unique personal game experience. I have replayed ME1 over 10 times and ME 2 over 20. I have over 20 saves ready for ME3. I’ve been expecting the release of ME3 with great anticipation and for the first time I preordered the CE of a game.
After this MP news, my enthusiasm has cooled down noticeably. Today I cancelled my CE preorder. I’m not paying premium price for a game that I’m not sure I’ll be satisfied with and only gonna play half of it. I will do what I’ve always done: I will wait until release and read the reviews. If they come out good, then I’ll probably wait until the price has come down and then buy it.
It’s not my intention to start an argument or derail this thread. I’m just expressing my thoughts. They are not up for debate. I won’t be checking this forum as assiduously as I’ve been for the past year.

"Choice of course! And the structure doesn't quite work that simply. There are many factors to the ending. Readiness is 1."

Any Twitter feeds about multiplayer, specifically why the game had to be ruined? Taking cover as Shep or some no-name custom character? This was supposed to be focused on Shepard defeating the Reapers....I can't tell what is what with anything anymore.
