Oh and someone asked for the Live Blog of the ME & DA panel yesterday @ NYCC?

Thanks, Vertigo. I did my usual gig and posted a couple of tweets in your absence but it was kind of quiet recently, what with NYCC eating up everyone's time.

Wow, people are really cancelling their pre-orders because of the co-op, even though they were apparently interested enough to pre-order the CE of the game in the first place?

That's a little dumb.

No one seems to recognise that single player and the co-op are two separate things... You can do single player without going co-op...

Haha, Mac responded to that comment like a pro.

Unless something terrible happens, I doubt Bioware are going to screw up ME3.

I make it a point to pre-order multiple copies of a game, so that I can cancel one in a grand gesture, each time I am upset with the development and can still be sure to receive a copy in the mail on release day! ;)

Agreed. Everything I've seen and heard only gets me more excited. To me, it'll be like ME2 but even better with a touch of ME1 to round it all out.

I don't understand how people assume that means it'll be bad. They're all kind of butt hurting and they'll probably all end up enjoying multiplayer and regret canceling their Collectors Edition when it comes out.

To the people who say their not going to play MP even if they get the game...come on, you're going to play at least one round out of curiosity. They won't admit it, to save face, but they're going to at least try it once.

Considering how hard it was for me to admit I was okay with MP, I'm inclined to agree. In fact, I'm sure I'll be playing it a lot more than I would ever have thought =]...

The fact of the matter is, though, that ME3 is becoming more and more like what people've been worrying and showing doubts about, whilst all the Biodrones are squealing about how we "shouldn't jump to conclusions." Well, hey, the conclusion is here - looks like all of our doubts were confirmed.

^But what exactly have they been worrying about? Mass Effect being more streamlined and selling out to EA? Because if anything there's more RPG elements than the last game, and they've wanted to put multiplayer in since the first game, soooo...what's the problem?

Please tell me what these 'more RPG elements' are, since as I recall it they've been talking about ditching 'all the useless stats-based gameplay', and instead have been making this game more like Gears of War than ever before. Mods? Are those what you're talking about? So they've added one feature and removed everything else? That's not adding, that's still subtracting. And it's hilarious that the Biodrone population is all 'hey, Multiplayer will be awesome!' despite plenty people already making it perfectly clear - Multiplayer isn't WANTED by the players.

And no, nobody's worried about Mass Effect 'selling out to EA'. That's because we've all learned to just accept that 'Bioware' doesn't exist. It has the name, but in truth all that there is now is 'EA's RPG division'. This company has gone down the drain with its last three announced titles, and believe it or not, some of us just don't give a crap anymore. I will not be purchasing this game - instead I'll keep an eye out for games that deserve my money.

The lack of logic is astounding. You leave "plenty of people" undefined, you are incapable of recognizing that any number of Bioware games involve features which "plenty of people" dislike, and you likely don't have any statistically significant backing for your "plenty of people", beyond hearing a few complaints on these forums.

If you have no plan to buy the game, why come here and announce you're not buying it? That's like walking into a Toyota dealership and announcing you're buying a Ford.

...pretty much everything they've released about the game indicates that they've added more customization in terms of weapons and powers. They haven't subtracted anything to the best of my knowledge. Multiplayer has already been said to be optional.

Listen, I know it sucks to be wrong. You've invested so much of your time hating a theoretical change that you've become somewhat invested in it being true. But that doesn't change the fact that you're wrong. Don't be angry about video games, homeslice, especially when you're misinformed. It's OK. It really is.
