"Invasion+Aria are great but will the CollectorBase choice affect the story in ME3? I didn't want TIM to have reaper tech ;)"

"A major decision like that? Yes, we are carefully weaving that one in to #ME3."

Groovy.

In related news, ME3 will be pushed back since all the devs have been riding the elevators non-stop.

I hate the fact that art of Miranda is 100x more gorgeous than the in game Miranda. The in game Miranda is a pure butterface, which is weird since she's a face scan of a really gorgeous actress. But man they really screwed up her jaw, chin and teeth in the game. Woa dudes sorry went off topic there.

Blame the icky lighting and their inability to do proper facial expressions.  That face would have been fine (gorgeous, even) had the shadows and facial muscles been more natural.

Or they could be unlockable in-game once you have Quarian support in the single player campaign?

Then they would announced them already since they confirmed Krogans have to be unlocked too.

have you heard hidden character/race
they never reveal everything in one announcement

You make that sound like that is a fault all the faces have. But I would argue that some of the face that were pretty well made "coughSamaracough".

Samara and Jack turned out really well, but I think that may have something to do with them "fitting" the facial animations well--they both have large eyes, high cheekbones, and mouths roughly in the same position on the face.  Miranda's face is much softer and rounder, her eyes smaller, and the distance between her mouth and eyes much longer.  All three are beautiful women, but when you try to fit Yvonne's very unique facial structure into an animation rig that's been generalized for multiple characters, you get weirdness.  For example, all three women have large front teeth, but because Miranda's mouth is positioned differently, she seems to bear her teeth more often.

That and Miri's more rounded, softer face is more likely to clash with the sharp shadows.

I am seriously staring at screenshots as I do this.  Here, take a look:

http://desmond.image....png&res=medium
http://desmond.image....png&res=medium

Miranda, when in normal lighting and not emoting, looks great.  But throw her somewhere where the lighting comes from a weird angle:

http://desmond.image....png&res=medium
http://desmond.image....png&res=medium

Or catch her trying to emote:

http://desmond.image....png&res=medium

And you get whatever the hell that is.  Poor Miri's a victim of a one-size-does-not-fit-all system.

For contrast, look at how similar Jack and Samara's features are:

http://desmond.image....png&res=medium
http://desmond.image....png&res=medium

Sam is basically Jack with heavier bones (jaw and brow especially).

Agreed. Good job cheez lol. Miranda is a great character but I always wondered why she looked so funky. But then you have to realize that Jack and Samara weren't faces that were scanned but were created. Obviously Miranda would stand out more.

Hey Vertigo, can you ask one of the devs for confirmation ( and details) that the early access for the Mass Effect 3 demo is included in the Battlefield 3 limited edition. ( Also ask if it's PS3 exclusive) ( Someone just found proof:

I believe Samara's face was scanned.  This is her face model Rana McAnear:

Well, looks like we are having a demo. I just hope the pre-release isn't restricted to a) Limited edition owners of Battlefield 3 and B) exclusive to PS3 ( since Sony and EA are buddies for BF3)

I believe all characters are face scanned - well at least characters that are important. We just don't know who they are.

(I'm looking at you Ashley, Anderson, Jacob, Jack...)

Could someone ask whether the SP will be played with a pre-made Shepard or your own imported Shepard? I imagine a pre-made one, but I guess importing could somehow be possible.
