If Casey Hudson's comments are anything to go by, ME3 is going to be the most emotional/heart-breaking in the trilogy, given it's status as the de-facto finale.leonia42 wrote...
Careful, don't facepalm too hard.
Come to think of it, I don't recall either ME1 or ME2 having a heart-breaking moment, even with character deaths it never felt like Shepard was being very emotional. The only Bioware game that has really tugged at me was DA2, there's one or two scenes there that really floored me.

Besides, there are a bunch of fangirlz out there who's hearts will be broken of Thane dies. They were warned though.

Beautiful and emotional... my money is on the death of Thane.

Who cares if Anderson dies? He's getting old anyway. He probably dies of a heart attack.

people would care if he died, trust me. and its sort of likely because we have seen pictures of him in armour which means hes going to be fighting. he's also been your buddy since the very start and has always been on your side - even risked his life when he went against the alliance orders and made the normandy mobile again. so yes, people would care. and thats not even mentioning that he's black, nor that his voice actor is keith david
i think he's a much deeper character than thane

The funny thing is that Anderson has probably not even lived half his life yet.

Yeah, it's not necessarily a death scene.
The closest thing that brought a small tear to my eye in ME2 wasn't even a death scene. Well, it kind of was, but not as in the death of a squadmate.

Sure, Anderson might be a more loved character than Thane, and I'm not saying Thane is better. What I am saying is that the way it was posted "gonna break some hearts." Suggests it's and LI. As well as his follow up tweet to someone who asked if it was Garrus that the scene was about:
"Don't get too smug. I think I remember who YOU romanced."

Lots of people would care if Anderson died, but I doubt they would be heart broken.

hmm good point. i never do romances so i never really thought about that. however i still think thane was a really boring character - the silent assassin who gave up his life for the job. i never thought he was more than that. also, what is he supposed to be, an aligator? he looks really strange
one more thing, how many percentage of people main shepard would romance thane? lets say 35% make female shepards, it would be about 5-8% chance of that 35% to even make that option. very small category

Honestly the heart attack comment was because of Anderson's comment in the second game about being too old to fight... altough Liara's computer was too heavy to move to the Normandy.... so...
Alligator boy has some die hard fans. The equivalent would be... I don't know, Miranda dying? I suppose it could be anyone from the game, as most deaths *should* be preventable...
Maybe 5-8% of 35% is Patrick Weekes' definition of 'some'. lol

Hah, I bet they can't break MY heart. (smug) Can't break what's already broken. To me, the worst, story-wise, has already happened. Hmm, does that mean I'm going to be emotionally immune to whatever happens in the game? Or revel in watching the Reapers tear down the galaxy? This isn't good.
Hope it's not a dying scene. Long, dragged out dying scenes are boring. Besides, if it's any of the squad dies, I'm just going to celebrate.

A woman can have a healthy baby at age 60. A woman of 40 years, has the appearance of a woman under 30 years. Most women start having babies at 40 years old at the time of mass effect.
A 70 year old man is a man who still has a lot of resource.
