Oh man, I don't want Anderson to die, but I kind of hope it's him. Because the alternative is a beloved squadmate. Or Joker.

I don't want Liara or Joker to die. The others that I love such as Garrus, etc... that might be ok depending on how it's done.

Although if it is a death - I hope it's avoidable.

AHHH Private press demos!

People took my Anderson having a heart attack comment really seriously. That's entertaining.

Joker could die falling down a really big flight of stairs.

It's probably not the most important thing, but has anyone asked Casey about loading screens and the Normandy airlock? Are the screens going to come back and are we going to be able to leave/ return to the Normandy like in ME1?

Sorry I don't have a Twitter account, and personally don't want one.

In one tweet Casey said ME3 will be "much more continuous", Fozz. It was in response to a similar question.

Anderson can't die... that wouldn't be fair... you need a worthy friend and mentor to pat you on the back at the end of the game for clearing the galaxy of Reapers, telling you "I knew you could do it Shepard... eversince the first game"

It's most likely a squadmate that'll get killed, in one of my playthrough Thane is dead anyway, so... it doesn't matter that much B)
Maybe it's Dr. Chackwas?

Thanks Phoenix, that sounds like good news.  I didn't really see the point of having the airlock door in ME2 when it didn't actually go anywhere.  Image IPB

Since the latest CH twitter talks about the press getting a hands on demo I thought I'd put out some info on where/what:

They are at E3A
What is E3A? (2010) - It's a previewing the games EA has lined up for E3 this year

Small info on what is being shown (also confirming where they are)

http://twitter.com/#...010778190319617
"Can't comment with absolute authority as it's still early and it's not a done deal, but I'm showing the Mattock tomorrow at EA3"

If anyone else knows anything more spill the beans!

What would really suck is the a few scenes from the end having to make a choice between one of your two current squad mates.

That would suck BAD   :-/

I'd just bring Thane along.

He's dying anyway.

That is definitely a case where reload is your friend. On the plus side, James Vega might actually see some action on my game.

Has anyone asked if your teamates will be more competent in combat? Because if not, that could have the potential of bringing down the quality of the gameplay.

"Thanks! It was a good day. #E3 is tougher since it's 4 straight days of demos and interviews."

I am unsure what it going on here, in this thread. I am sure the game is looking good, in the good direction. I hope they are doing Mass Effect 3 correctly. I hope they make it the best of the best. :)

I want it to be Udina. I mean there's 'some' people who actually like him. So technically 'some' people would be sad to see him die. Me though I'd laugh, hysterically, perhaps with a little bit of 'yeah take that you son of a ****'.

That said I could also see them showing a cliffhanger-esk like thing that makes us 'think' someones dead who may not really be dead. Some of the tweets in here seem to elude to people 'maybe not being ok' (aka, Miranda...). I could see them showing up to a point where everything thinks that and in the actual game it ends up being more of a 'save her' mission or something.

I part of me is holding out for a scene with Udina getting torn to shreds, then replayed in slow-motion though.

Well basically... we wait for a tweet and then we tear it apart and postulate every possibly meaning until the next tweet.

It's an addictive cycle of excitement, fear, acceptance and then renewed excitement. WOOO... only eight or nine more months of this.

As to heartbreaking, killing a character isn't the only way to wring hearts. Using a landmark as an example, watching the Space Needle be flattened when the Reapers hit would definitely make me sad. Heck, just the act of leaving Earth to the depredations of the Reapers is going to be hard, depending on how it's portrayed.

Joker dying in any play through (in other words canonized, no matter what you do) would be the biggest case of inter galactic party pooping EVER.

and if a video game makes me choke up (witnessing joker die probably would) , well, i guess i can kiss my macho tough guy facade good bye forever.

On the other hand, the death of any major charecter in ANY story makes that story all the more memorable.

Like Sbri said, heartbreaking scenes don't always involve someone dying. Anyone remember the ending to the Futurama episode with Seymour?
