Legion was already bad enough that we had Geth in our squad. What's next... someone demanding Reaper for squadmate and also romanc...ups i better not give Bioware ideas.

Can someone ask how far they are taking homosexuality/bisexuality ? Will they make previously heterosexual characters, like garrus, dig the same sex ? Or will it be limited to maybe just vega, hiding his secret ? I think i would share the idea with many on here that changing ones sexual preferences in me3 would ruin the established bonds we have with them.
Don't bother asking that.

Endings, and who will or won't be love interests in #ME3, are huge spoilers that we would never reveal outside of the game. #GotToJustPlayIt

So if your best friend told you he was gay, would you stop being best friends?MartinDN wrote...

Beyond typical homophobia, that's what people are afraid of, I think.

What about if you ask in general if there will be gay/bi love interest?
Thats a simple yes or no question there and not spoilerific at all.

Hopefully, these "friendship paths" are as good as they're hyped up to be. This would then be a non-issue, especially if all romances are player-initiated.Collider wrote...

You know, many people including myself just find it easier to relate with somebody who is straight. Despite my reputation on this subject, it doesn't mean I hate anyone. So is it somehow wrong to not want Garrus or Ashley or whoever made bisexual because of that? I always hear "I only want ____ and ____ to be biseuxal", but if you listened to all of the people saying that, you'd have all of the LIs and the whole crew covered, if not the whole damned galaxy.
Non-issue? For some perhaps, but for others it downgrades whatever connection you have with the characters.

In fact, he didn't deny it, he just said they removed some "old text", which is more of an indication that the prothean is part of the base game.

I understand your position, but I think it's only a problem if you consider all the things happening in other people's playthroughs. If you never flirt with Kaidan or ask about his sexuality, for example, for all intents and purposes he remains straight.ReconTeam wrote...

Similarly, I find it much easier to get involved in the story as a paragon female Shepard. I can just relate to her better than a male or a renegade. I can be male or renegade if I want (and I have been), and there are thousands of people playing differently than I am, but ultimately it's only my playthrough that is my concern. I can phase out all the other Shepards I don't like or don't care about.
As a side-note, I doubt everyone will be bi. The dev tweets implied that "some, but not all" would be available for s/s. This may have changed, but as is, it seems like there are plenty of straight people for you to identify with.
And hey, if all else fails, at least your Shepard is straight.

That really depends on how they do it.If you never flirt with Kaidan or ask about his sexuality, for example, for all intents and purposes he remains straight.
Most love interests so far show or hint towards interest without specific player request. They did this with all of the bisexual male love interests thus far with the possible exception of Sky (who was the very first).

This, too, can be averted if any interest shown is very subtle (if present at all) to the point where it can be interpreted as bromance. Leave it to the twisted fangirls like me to pick up on the slashy hints.Collider wrote...

Sure maybe i could understand that if inbetween arrival and me3 he had 2 or 3 turian gfs who all ended up cheating on him and he just turned homosexual out of hatred - yes im being sarcastic but you get my point, A REASON FOR TURNING HOMOSEXUAL or being like that from the beginning and why they didnt show it over the first 2 games while seemingly going to there deaths bioware, dont just lump it in for political correctness.

I actually would not have a problem with male characters coming onto male Shepard, I just doubt it's going to be a case of "if you don't flirt, then you can interpret it as bromance." If precedent is any indication, bisexual Kaidan is going to call male Shepard handsome.

I've always been puzzled by the immense popularity of homosexual relationships regarding the bioware fandom, statistically I mean. If lesbians and gays account for less than 10 percent of people does that mean most "s/s"(very recently learned term) players are indeed still straight?
Straight guys: LESBIANS
Straight girls: ZOMG YAOI
And sometimes, the romances are just good or interesting enough that people will try them out even if it doesn't strictly mesh with their own sexuality.
Also, keep in mind that the Bioware fandom is a very special fandom.

Oh man. Kaidan and Liara in ME1 were awful. Their attraction to you was like 50% of what they talked about. In comparison, Ash dropped, what, one flirtatious line?Collider wrote...

Hopefully this will be fixed. I'm not saying it will happen, but it's possible.

He won't. All romances will be player-initiated (hopefully). In the event that Garrus is indeed a romance option for both genders (which I doubt will happen), I'm fairly confident he will be handled with extreme care, given the high regard so many players have for his platonic friendship with Shepard.MartinDN wrote...
I dont mean to start a heated debate over this, its just that i, and im sure others dont want characters like garrus who previously and only specifically went after there opposite sex suddenly turn around and say look shepard i love you (shepard being a male in this instance" without an excuse or reason.
You don't "turn" homosexual. And, frankly, one's sexual orientation often has little influence on their outward personality.Sure maybe i could understand that if inbetween arrival and me3 he had 2 or 3 turian gfs who all ended up cheating on him and he just turned homosexual out of hatred - yes im being sarcastic but you get my point, A REASON FOR TURNING HOMOSEXUAL or being like that from the beginning and why they didnt show it over the first 2 games while seemingly going to there deaths bioware, dont just lump it in for political correctness.
Also, keep in mind that Tali and Garrus showed no interest in Shepard in ME1.

Of course they will. They've always been player-initiated. Yes, some (rather small) number of people may not have realized that's what they were doing, but the fact remains that, in the end, you wind up in a romance because you've picked specific dialogue options. And no, annoying as that one Femshep/Jacob line was, it doesn't count as "initiated" (nor does the mere fact of a character expressing interest, subtly or otherwise).

I mean seriously, none of you would know my gender, much less my sexual orientation, unless I said something about it. If you met me in person, the gender bit would be obvious, but chances are you'd know nothing about my sexual orientation unless I made an effort to broadcast it.
