"So you're basically saying to the fans that have been with ME since the beginning that our choices will make no difference?"
"You'll get all the payoffs in #ME3 based on your prev choices. New ppl will experience a self-contained, epic story.Evry1 wins"

"When you say "Procedural foley" you mean real-time sound effects?"
"We built this really cool system that detects movement & plays corresponding armour/cloth sounds. Only way we could cover everything!"

For real. There's no need to include that much auto-aim in the first place. A little bit is fine on a console shooter. For example, the Halo games have all had a little bit, but it's incredibly minor compared to ME2's "I'm going to aim this gun for you whether you like it or not" approach.

I think were not going to see as big a payoff for playing through all three now, more or less more of Mass Effect 2. Some emails and cameos, based on that comment. It would appear that new players get their whole beginning to end, and we get DAO to DA2 again.
I sincerely hope that this isn't the case, but my optimism just faded a notch.

From what I've been told re: DAO--->DA2, I wouldn't put ME1--->ME2 on the same level of irrelevancy.

I get what casey said, casey says that those who played 1 and imported to 2 and imported to three will have their choices take effect but those who don't will not see those choices. So I just don't see a problem with what he says, I'm going into this with 100 percent faith and nothing has changed it.

Damn you and your close-to-an-answer-but-it-really-is-not shenanigans, Casey.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those people who's cancelling my preorder because waaaaaah. I'm going to get the game regardless. My enthusiasm is as high as ever, however my hope that ME2's general nonchalance about my ME1 game was just because it was the middle of the story, and they're saving up for the boom has dimmed from 100 watts to 75.
I also could be completely wrong with my unfounded fear, I have no problem admitting that.

"You are remarkably good at answering questions without disclosing any actual information. I'm most impressed."
"I answer as much as I can without ruining the sense of discovery waiting for people in the actual game."

Its about the same. Cameos and letters or cameos and emails. Who rules Ferelden, which is now far out of the way of the main plot, or who rules the citadel, the seat of power for the other half of the galaxy. Still have Darkspawn, Still have Reapers. Invasion stopped, relevant to both villains. Now, to be fair, I like DA2, it sometimes seems as if I'm one of the very few that did. It had problems, far more than anyone complains about regarding ME2. But the import shenaningans were similar, eerily enough that I see this single quip and it inspires a bit of fear about ME3 and the Payoffs being at the end of two choices in dialogue, or barely being referenced at all.
