Perhaps the beta leak has filled up their quota for the week.

Heh, I'm not complaining. This information-less diet that BW has been living with for the past five months got old fast. And its sad, because most of what was shown today is just an extension of the demo levels we've already seen, so its not like we're getting anything really "new".

I can understand why they would want to limit the information they hand out after how much of ME2 they showed, but to completely leave fans in the dark until what, December? January? Nah.

IIRC, the plan was to fight or die.

Can someone with a twitter account ask one of the devs whether or not the automatic dialogue we saw in the beta from Shepard (Which was pretty much all of it) is how they are tackling ME3? More automatic dialogue to make him a more defined character?

I saw maybe 4 chances to pick dialogue in a 20 minute beta. The times we could choose dialogue, there were only 2 dialogue options.

If someone could somehow get an answer from the devs, i and a lot of others would be very grateful (Even if it is just marketing speak)

In b4 "OMFG IT'S A BETA< DON"T BE HATIN'".

The video you saw was probably Action mode. So...it's determined for you. There are other videos where you choose your dialogue.

i'm sure i was watching RPG mode, but if not, could you link to a video that has someone playing the RPG mode?

sadly, I think the videos I've seen on youtube have been blocked. I do have a downloaded video but I have absolutely no idea how to upload it.

  Poor Patrick, Wrex is quite the competition.  I would totally make a Shepard starting from ME1 just to romance Wrex.

Can someone ask the devs (Patrick) approximately what % of the main story does the demo (Intro + Female Krogan mission) cover? And further, what % of the entire single player (including side missions) does it cover?

That's way too specific for them to answer...could they even give a rough % from that? If they did people would do the math and figure out/guess how many missions and where, etc etc.

And again, with the leak they've been really really quiet.

I never really understood the hate over ME2's marketing. I didn't think there were too many spoilers at all. But this is just another example of them taking to the extreme when people say something. People don't like the mako controls > Get rid of it. People think the inventory is too cluttered > Get rid of it. People complain about marketing > Get rid of it.

What really gets me mad is when they release a new video and people freak out saying stuff like "I don't want to be spoiled ahh". Nobody's forcing you to watch the marketing videos. So why punish people who want to see something new?

Fortunately the leaked beta has increased my anticipation for the game. It was starting to fade away. Everything looked great, although the auto dialogue was concerning, and I'm speaking about the RPG mode gameplay. (Don't want to get into a discussion on it in this thread though). I'm not sure why they're getting angry over the leak. If anything it got people more excited than their boring usual sur'kesh level we've been shown time and time again. I was even talking to one of the developers about the beta, and then all of a sudden no more responses. :( I guess it's not a hot topic for them anymore, or they're not allowed to speak about it. The game didn't look bad at all, despite the missing/placeholder textures.

Anyone want to ask if Bioware would be willing to sell MP as an unlockable for those not interested or unable to play it (ie those without a Gold subscription)?

It'd be pretty awesome if they charged less for those who only want to play the singleplayer campaign (or have no choice via being a Silver member) and sold multiplayer as an unlockable extra.

I lol'd.

The demo is, what, about 25-30 mins and the SP is meant to be of comparable length to ME2, which was around 30 hours.

Maybe the full game is longer that 30 hrs even without doing side missions.

CptBomBom00 I've replayed ME1 at insanity two weeks ago. It took me 29 hours amd 56 minutes to finish the game and I did every single objective. I have to mention that my previous saves were not compatible with english version of me1 (i used to play on polish version) so I played with crappy equipment for 20 hours of game. ME2 was longer, around 36 hours with all DLC's. I hope ME3 is as long as ME2.
