information in those files is out of date and does not reflect the final story experience

We'll probably get a proper statement from BW later this week, I'm quite positive they won't just ignore this. Even if they tried.

I thought that maybe it wouldn't be necessary as it seemed to have avoided the sight of gaing press, but I just chcked and now everyone's reporting about it :(

Why wouldn't the gaming press be reporting about this mess? For them, finding out news of this calibre on one of the most anticipated games in the last 5 years must be like f***ing Christmas Day to them.

At this point, Bioware really does need to officially respond to this and not in a generalize post on one of their forum's threads, but an official statement to the press and to their audiences in order to calm people down and dampen their current fears.

So Casey is pissed on Microsoft, yeah, did you ever thought this leak could happen?
I had a gut feeling few days before the leak that something is not right.

Seriously. If the amount of railroading and unbalanced "choices" that I saw in that story leak make it to the final product, it'd be really disappointing. I'm really really concerned about this...might-cancel-preorder concerned. :(

@CaseyDHudson I'm hearing confirmed reports of tomfoolery.

ah, the not-very-good-at-english guy is left in the dark here... what does "tomfoolery" mean?

It means he's pissed.

To the Brits, being 'pissed' actually means being drunk. :P

That might apply too.

This not not mean anything tbh. Bioware has denied truths in the past when they where leaked.

i feel for the dudettes and dudes at BIOWARE. this sucks monkey butt and it's not even their own fault.....keep your head up BW!
why the **** was this script in the beta again? seems really odd to have that giant wall of text - relevant or not - in a beta of a demo that was supposed to come out anyway......and why does microsoft have the private beta of a demo that was not supposed to come out till next year in their hands?
i iz xtremly konvuzed...

I got a question guys: You remember ME2 Cerberus Network things yeah? so will we have this kind of thing again in ME3 and by this I mean will it be accessed normally without a need of code or for second buyers to buy it, or we will have to activate this lets presume Alliance Network by again redeeming the code or if someone bought second hand copy of ME3 and needs to spend 1200 MS or BW points to have access???????????????????????

I haven't spoiled myself and I dont plan on it. I have faith that Bioware will deliver an emotional and rewarding story. This is Casey's baby. There is now way that he would let the story disappoint to the core Mass Effect fans and from what I saw of the beta, the story won't disappoint.

So I'm guessing Walters won't be responding to tweets for the next 4 months.

I'm bookmarking this thread and the Kaidan thread for reading, and that's it. I haven't read the spoilers from the datamining, but I'm feeling a bit anxious about them. Four months is WAY too early to be reading these kinds of spoilers.

I am a sad panda.

Also, I feel bad for Casey--he's gotta be pretty pissed that this stuff is out SO early.

EDIT:  And you guys are right; Bioware needs to release an official statement on this stuff, directly from Casey, to smooth things over.  Tough week for that guy.  :(

What sort of official statement is really needed? Doesn't change the fact that it's out there, and we know it's an unfinished, out-dated build. We already know someone working on the beta with the Live service made a mistake, and they really aren't going to go into further details. They aren't going to clarify what is/isn't in the final build, nor expand on any of the details. It really makes no difference what they say.

Haters still gonna hate, trolls will still be trolling, and fans of the series will stick it out until launch.

Wow, I really don't know what's going on. As soon as I heard that official story information was leaked, I bounced! I am only looking at this thread, the news thread, and the titles of the stickies from the main thread so I can keep up to date on official news (such as early official demo release). I do feel bad for BioWare, they were going at this so nicely, and their plans got ruined... but as a fan, I will stick it out... I hope that I do not see any spoilers, so I will be staying away mostly

Indeed, well said.
