I hope they didn't remove any of the useful information visible on that screen. I liked it fine before (as it was in the ME3 demo), with the indicator bars and everything.

Yeah, but the layout, desptie being  very clear and easy to navigate, wasn't very pretty.  Icky font effects, buttons were kind of "poofy," too many little piddly graphical bells and whistles, et cetera.

Sure, there were parts of it that were really gorgeous (like how the info box curved and faded out, and how the squadmates stood in nice lighting for a change with a really cool depth blur that sexed up the whole interface), but overall the graphical presentation could be trimmed down and sexed up while still retaining the same amount of information.

Yes, but it's more than that.  If you rip the audio from the games, you'll find that the songs are actually broken into chunks which can be triggered conditionally.  A good example is the Long Walk: notice how the music picks up and there's new instrumentation when enemies are around?  So it's something like that, only with a lot more conditions taken into account, and it's all got to be timed properly and blended together seamlessly.

I think Brian Bloom as Varric may be the best performance in a BioWare game. I hope he gets an award for this, though I don't know which award show does voice actors except for the VGAs, and they only nominate celebrities.
