Is this forreal? Are you sure it was the real Priestly?

99% certain. But he could confirm himself (pretty sure he lurks here )

Edit: Ye it was him ;)

I just checked into g33kWatch TV on Ustream. Come watch and chat with me here

He tweeted that 4 hours ago. Would prefer to have him confirm he actually said that.

Chris just posted this on the ME Marathon stream (I know, it aint twitter, sue me)

11:25 EviLChrisPriestly: Hmm.. should I reveal a minor Tali game secret? For a donation?

11:27 EviLChrisPriestly: Cool, but doesn't impact gameplay

11:29 EviLChrisPriestly: This really doesn't spoil ME3 at all. Casey would kill me

11:29 EviLChrisPriestly: Ok. Minor thing that I think is cool.

11:30 EviLChrisPriestly: Tali was not going to be a party character until the COmmunity (yes, including teh Talimancers) demanded her. She becmae a party member.

11:31 EviLChrisPriestly: I thought so. The COmmunity wanted it, so they got it. :)

11:32 EviLChrisPriestly: Well let me tell you about teh quarians. They... oh, hello Casey. *signoff*

LOL, love the guy :P

That's severely uncool. The rest of us have Tali forced upon us because of a vocal sub-group of the community.

Yeah I said it.

We have already shown screenshots of Tali as a party member, so that wasn't the news. The news was that she may not have been made a party member, but fan demand for her after ME2 definitely swayed the Devs into making it happen.

And people say BioWare doesn't listen to the fans. :)

No, it's someone who's upset that Tali is more popular than their favourite (whoever that may be), and is venting because that character isn't a full party member while Tali is. There have been a lot of these people since the spoiler leak; their reactions are understandable, I suppose, yet annoying all the same. My advice is just let them rage and ignore them.

I'm pretty sure the vast majority knows that you guys listen. Hence why you aced ME2 and got raving reviews for it.

I'm certainly not a troll. Just not a fan of Tali & blatant favouritism of a certain section of the community has gotten.

A litle ironic, considering that Patrick is the writer behind Tali.

And Mordin.

Ok, that makes sense I guess. Which is the main reason I try to avoid spoilers about the storyline.

Believe it or not, not everyone likes that character. I'd rather get more time with Legion or if I *had* to take a quarian with me, Kal'Reegar. His voice actor alone makes him awesome.
I say, if Legion's party member status or relevance gets dented by Tali's highly vocal fans' demands, I'll enjoy ME3 a LOT less. Same if Miri and Jack and Ash don't get equal rights/treatment.
...What, did you expect me to say I'd cancel my preorder? I'm not that dellusional.

Speaking of which, I was wondering who all wrote who. Can you give me a source to this? Would be appreciated.

Miranda could survive getting shot while unloyal but Garrus cant.. and you complain about favouritisim. cry more please. And what do you mean by `subgroup`? Tali si one of the most popular characters ( if not, the most popular character). I am surprised you are not complaining about Garrus too. Or Liara. Technically we had them forced on us too. Oh wait, you are just a butthurt Tali-fan hater. What a surprise.

I *am* aware of that.
But, just because I don't enjoy a particular character doesn't mean I can't enjoy the person behind it. Besides, to further clarify my point - I liked Tali in ME1, not so much in ME2. Not sure if due to fanbase gawking over her or due to her gawking like a teenager over shepard like Liara did in ME1(the latter also being the reason for me not liking liara, actually... hmm... pattern discovered).

And I absolutely LOVE Mordin, one of my favourite characters actually, fyi.

Thanks for confirming it. Needed it considering how uber-simple it is to impersonate someone on a general chat like that, anyone could sign in and pose as you.

As for listening to the fans, you sure do. Just hope fans of other characters were also listened to... *points at my sig* :(

I'm all for listening to fans and all, but I'd rather they give each characters equal treatment. Though, I understand there are certain game limitations and certain characters should play a larger role, but personally I see Tali playing a bigger role with her people instead of staying on Shepard's ship permanently, as I do Liara because of her new role. Either way, I feel happy for the Tali fans, but if this is the case for squad permanence, then it would suck for the smaller, less vocal groups.

Indeed and Talifans comprise a very large group. So do Garrus and Liara fans. Why dont you mention them? You are implying a subgroup isnt important. Also, way to disregard everything else I said.

Really? I thought it was Garrus because he is the most used squad mate according to the ME2 stats

You act like Chris said, "Miranda was going to be a squadmate, but because of all the Tali support from the community, we punted DAT ASS and replaced her with Tali."

Just because they're giving Tali a more prominent role, it doesn't mean that any aspect of the game you hold dear was compromised.

I'm kinda on the fence about this. It really depends on how cool her replacement is.
