Yet Garrus who doesn't play a plot relevant role was planned to be a squadmember.
I'm sorry but the more they speak regarding certain things the more it becomes clear that they're making things up on the fly, not imo the best way to plan out a trilogy.

Well if you lovely amazing guys listen to us, pretty please with 3 space sugar lumps on top, have some other characters from ME2, such as Jack or Miranda, as "permanent" squad members and not just companions for a mission

With all due respect, Mr Priestly, but this is something Bioware should have been deaf to. I believe that the writers who created the universe of Mass Effect are the ones who truly know what's best for Mass Effect and not the fans.

Anyone know what it will do? ANYone?! I found shockwave to be incredibly useful for my vanguard on normal mode - it destroyed enemies. But if it was hardcore/insanity, dead useless.
Anyone know what it will do in ME3 who has read the script? (if it's even in there) I WANT TO KNOW! >

I don't know... If the plot requires the character to be with his own people and lead them, he has to be there and lead them. Take Wrex as an example, he's in charge of the Krogan and he can't afford to go around with Shep all the time. That's why all the permantent members doesn't have that kind of autority or relevance in the "interplanetary issues"..alperez wrote...
Is it not actually a sign of how badly planned or poorly planned me3 really was that Tali a character who really should have a plot relevant role (geth/quarians) wasn't planned to be a squadmember until the fans of her character forced her to be.

pretty much this, if bioware prefers to do things without following what the fans say they get in trouble if they listen to them and want to do something nice for them (or at least the largest number of them) they also get in trouble, its insane

You're mean to Character X = Character X still adores you, you choose Option B = you get the same result as with Option A.
Choices are supposed to meant something, and the consequences are meaningless if there aren't any: having let Ashley die on Virmire doesn't mean I want to have both her and Kaidan alive in my ME3.

I don't think Bioware does
I'm bitter at you guys, not only do you take away the original voice actor for Mordin but you guys almost tried to take credit for Sbarge doing the Horizon letter. <_<
Well here's my feedback, I want Mordin as a main squaddie for ME3, with his original VA, and Legion too, they were both amazing characters with depth, and Kaidan not to be killed around every f***ing corner(if there's anything with another Virmire moment in ME3 and it targets Kaidan I will rage), but I guess that's not going to happen because I don't b**** the loudest.
I think I'm just jumping the boat now, getting my own spaceship and dancing however I want(no more stupid dances for Shepard)
And I'll keep whoever I want in my crew while I kill sentient machines, See You Next Tuesday s!!

/end rant
Edit: Fixed the picture, someone told me it wasn't what I meant to post
And if it's still giving some hotlink error thing, that wasn't intentional, I meant to put up a dumb dancing one

theres all kinds of ways to tackle the roleplaying aspects of a game, and in the case of the mass effect series freedom to join factions of your choice wasnt a part of its rp system (you were always given one, the rp came from your reactions and attitude towards it) so I dont see why you would assume that me3 would introduce a faction system or why you even treat the presence of such a mechanic as a valid, impartial measure of a developer artistic integrity

I don't think Bioware doesBioware utterly hates the VS and always tried to make everyone hate the VS even when the fans would beg for them to stop, I think they just listen to the person with the biggest voice, real fair there. <_< Or maybe recently when everyone begged Bioware to bring Michael Beattie back, and Bioware just went silent.

Ehrm, yes. I'm not asking for a full blown faction system á la New Vegas or Alpha Protocol, but when you give people the option to side with a faction for an entire game, you don't just railroad said faction into the role of antagonist to prevent having to live up to that promise of actual choice/consequence. Same goes for the Shadow Broker favor and the Councilor decision from ME1, as well as many other ones that are just railroaded for the sake of railroading.Jog0907 wrote...

If all your "decisions" amount to is choosing what Shepard says right there and then, nothing allowing you to divert from the linear path, why settle for the Gears clone when you could get the real deal?
