No, 2 reasons:
A) They'd need to build more to replace Sovereign and any other Reapers that might be destroyed.
B) Getting only 1 reaper per cycle would be horribly inefficient (in fact didn't they confirm that the smaller reapers are made from ''lesser'' races, so this cycle Humanity would become a Harbinger-esque capital ship and maybe if they can scrape together enough Salarian/ Turian/ Hanar they'd build a few of the smaller ones).

I think we got to hear this in the Beta leak during Co-op portion


It was also in the campaign levels but all the background noise and music almost completely drowned that out. :P

And yes, I really like small details like that. Even the sound of the Katana unfolding has been changed so it so it's clanging like...a katana.

The worst thing about husks and Thorian creepers for me in ME1? How they always explode electricity (husks) and acid (creepers) at me.  It always goes straight through my shields/barrier and kicks my butt, I have to spam biotics to keep them out of range. These Cannibals and their perfectly aligned puke spray intimidate me already.

I say bring it! Husks and Creepers were a nightmare during my Hardcore playthrough of Mass Effect (as a Sentinel, I *think*), but my entire Insanity playthrough of Mass Effect 2 (as a Vanguard!) has very much increased my appreciation of the game and all its mechanics. Tough enemies (that aren't cheap!) are good and exciting.
