Personally, I think it's a beautiful and amazing thing that most ppl, at least on BSN, would rather see Ash in sum reliable armor than the "scuze me while I thrust my hips out pose".

Nothing of what I've seen of Ash so far indicates that she'd be an incapable soldier. Unless soldiers have to live 24/7 in their armor in ME3?

I really wish people would just wait until they see Ashley in action when the actual game comes out and then judge how capable or incapable her new 'sexy casual outfit' makes her.

Okay, you know what?  If Kaidan had a ridiculously huge package, I'd complain.  If he had man-cleavage and overdone muscles, I'd complain.  If he was posing seductively in all his concept art, I'd complain.

But no.  He's just "cool biotic soldier dude with goofy hair."  The only difference is that he's not wearing the goofy tights from ME1.

Goofy tights are bad unless you're a superhero, Link, or Robin Hood.

I don't mind what's been done to Alenko. All I was pointing out was there was a double-standard here where both VS characters have been sexed-up yet all the complaining was about what happened to Ash.

As for Lt. Commander TightWhitePants...well all I've seen of her so far is in the leaked beta demo. It looked OK to me, not noticeably stupid or fanservice-y. That's all I can say.

Naw, you're fine, I was talking more in a general manner considering how many people are thinking her character will be ruined because of this new look, all I say is we wait and see, and then begin the justified RAGEEEEEEEE. But until then, I am sure we can all sip some tea and have some crumpets. Doubt that will happen but gawd I'm aching for some right now, stupid empty fridge.


To your latter statement, if that were the case, it'd honestly be ridiculous. It's not like Ashley was a Miranda from the very beginning who fought her battles in high heels. She wore armor, she didn't give two flying elcors about her looks.
IF that were the case though -- BioWare not giving her armor until we started biznatching about the subject, then thank the lordy they listen to their fans sometimes.

Previously, Ash had the armor, and Kaidan had the goofy tights.

And seriously, if Kaidan was sexed up for the ladies, he'd look more like this:



Note the exposed chest, kissable lips, and come hither eyes.  Ignore the hair and robe.

I think his bulky manlier look is so he can cradle FemShep in his strong, muscular arms and softly whisper sweet-nothings into her ear. And that's cool by me. That's far more of a change than some tight pants of a questionable-to-some colour and letting your hair down tbh.
