I'd also like an answer to this. Grunt was the only squadmate the had any sort of melee in ME2.Someone With Mass wrote...
Can someone ask them if the squadmates will get some form of melee attack to use? That's something I've been wondering about for quite some time now.

It would be nice to watch Tali open someone up with that knife of her's....
OR put a bayonet on the end of her shotgun.... watch her impale someone with it, lift them off the ground and into the air, then pull the trigger...
Violence is SO entertaining.....

. I would think the melee attacks have a great deal to do with the class of each squadmate. Like you won't see Ashley performing a melee-energy move with her omni-tool.noisecode wrote...

I was thinking that Tali would use the knife strapped to her ankle as a quick attack and retreat - ala her first appearance...only without a grenade.
It might be neat to see Samara have a Biotic charge but instead of "charging" like Shepard and Vasir, it's moves slower and it's more like flight where she uses those heels to break someone's face in. Maybe she can just biotic push and then do a heel twist.
Morinth - some sort of vampire-bite attack. I'm sure there is some loophole in lore that allows her to meld in an instant with foes.
Jack - easily some biotic punch as seen in her recruitment.
Ashley would be more likely to use a knife attached to her boom stick. Or just use the gun itself.
Grunt can shove the muzzle of a shotgun into an opponents armor and just let things get gory.
That's all I can really think of.

Curious to see how sleuthy you all are. Any predictions on what we'll announce on #MASSEFFECTMONDAY #ME3. Hint: more than just 1 thing.

HELL no. I was thinking she could fly into a murderous rage and sink all 8 inches of the blade into a batarian's eye (randomly chosen of course)

You may have just sold me on a collector's edition. Please put in a good word with whomever makes these decisions that this is (imo) highly desirable.

Ok, so it's not the most creative suggestion. It might be cathartic if you've been playing ME1 lately, though.

That is exactly the sort of thing that would get me to spring for a Collector's Edition, Rob. Sound much more interesting than what happened with ME2, which was basically the entire team just repeating the same marketing bulletpoints about how awesome they were <_<

Agreed, a "making-of" is always a very entertaining and interesting insight into what goes into game development, and gives us a more personnal look at the game. I really liked those interview videos posted on GameInformer a while back, I think they're a lot better and give out more interesting info on the game than the same old promotionnal vids and tiring marketing strategies. For example, the dev commentary on contemporary Valve games are absolutely fascinating, imo.
