"My question maybe spoilerific... Do you compose music & wait Clint Mansell`s approval or the entire team work on different parts?"
"Clint doesn't oversee/supervise. We all worked on different parts, and BioWare approves."

"Man. This is one challenging piece for sure. Piano sketch is done, now to orchestrate it. Burning some serious midnight oil here! #ME3"

"Every time I hear that other composers start out with piano sketches too I become more and more reassured. :) Good luck, BTW!"
"Thanks! And yes, starting out with piano sketches drastically improves the final orchestrated result, IMO!"

And this was one hour ago....  Holy hell, Sam is nuts! What time is it now in Chicago?

Wonder if he really means the biggest out of all composers' work? Hmm. Ending theme?

Hm. Has anyone asked any of the composers which parts of the game they're scoring?

I would assume he works out the basic melody and harmony of his piece on piano, then he busts out the other instruments to put flesh on the skeleton and make a full piece.  It would be like sketching  a figure before painting it.  You get your idea down and give it shape, then you work on flavor.

Or it could mean that he sits around drawing pianos until he gets inspired...it could happen...

"PS, "combat B" is my favorite of my combat tracks. It's like 95% synth, and makes you feel all badass when you listen to it. ;) #ME3"

Reminds me of the warm, fuzzy feeling I get whenever Overlord's combat track (which I affectionately dubbed 'Overload' in my unofficial ultimate OST for my iPod) kicks up.

OK, maybe 'warm and fuzzy' doesn't quite cut it. But whatever the feeling is, it definitely gets me running faster at the park.

Sadly it appears it will be done mid June, but luckily my innovative, patented design allows it to travel in either direction. Posted Image

Wouldn't be the first time some Hollywood guy came in and only wrote a few things on a game. Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman....
I guess we'll find out when the soundtrack comes out.

Remember when Lorne Balfe and Jesper Kyd was doin the Assassin's Creed Revelations soundtrack? Lorne did most of the in-game cinematic music stuff, and Jesper did everything else.

I don't know how many pieces Clint Mansell made for the ME3 soundtrack, but if Sam Hulick and the Sonic Mayhem guys are on it as well then could be a similar dealio.

It's going to be one awesome OST, that's for sure.

Wish they would give us some info on the demo. This waiting till March is killing me.
